A fun little getaway.
I planned this as a surprise getaway for my wife, who is a huge HP fan. She loved the look and what they have managed to create in such a cosy place. The flat is located perfectly just outside the Shambles, it only takes you a short walk to reach it, the walkway at the rear made it super quick and keep's you away from the traffic. We also used Q-Park just across the water which was very convenient.
The only negatives we had are easily fixed ones, far side bed side lamp did not work, there was a bit of black mould in the shower and we could not find the remote control for the heating anywhere, so we used the very noisy one on the wall, would of been fine but with the constant knocking of the pipes it made it impossible to sleep with it on and with the huge window the temperate dropped quite quickly.
A few suggestions, the built in TV/Fireplace is a very nice feature, but some HDMI access would be great, we brought a console to play some HP games but could not use it. Another suggestion was some sockets or at least USB sockets in-reach of the lovely themed bedside tables. Last one was the amazing LED work in the bedframe ceiling, we would of loved to sleep with them on but they was just a little too bright, but maybe a dimmer switch would let people adjust to their liking.
Overall it was a lovely little getaway that we both needed, visited lots of shops in the Shambles, hit up the hole in the wand (crazy golf) and went to The Cat's Whiskers (cat cafe). The Enchantment Chamber was great to come back to after a busy day and get some rest, which came very easily from the very comfortable bed and cosy aesthetics. After all is said, I would highly recommend TEC to any Harry Potter fan or anyone that just needs to escape for a bit.
