"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely walk downhill to downtown. The hot tub in the garden was a real treat to relax in after a long drive. At the apartment we had ample space and everything we needed was there including laundry facilities. I would happily stay here again if we are ever in the area. Good communications from Andrew, the host, too."

"Owner Corey lives next door, was very helpful, and came over to introduce us to his place. One of our party of 4 slept on the sofabed, which was comfortable but in the main living space - not an issue for us. The location neighborhood is a bit unusual, but fine, and a few minutes drive from downtown Nelson. We would stay at Corey's place again."

"This house and property exceeded our expectations. The house isn’t visible from the road and the property is a hidden gem in the little town of Ymir. We loved staying here and the details that were put into the house and property are done with real care and intention. It was hot while we were there, but the house is well built and insulated, so even though it doesn’t have any A/C, it holds its temperature and cools off at night when the windows are open. "Great property. Clean and spacious. Lots of things for the kids to do. The zipline was a huge hit. Hot tub was amazing and very clean. Was right beside some incredible mountain biking. There was also a fantastic running path right down the road that dogs can run off leash. The house itself was perfect. Lots of room for the kids to play and sleep comfortably. The ping pong table was also a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again. Probably one of the best houses we have ever rented on VRBO."

"A unique vintage residence to stay at near Nelson BC. Spacious - we liked that bedrooms were on the corners of the house to give some privacy. 2.5 bathrooms were handy as well. Dining was great for meals and games. Backyard was very pleasant and had plenty of sunshine and shade options. Hosts were very responsive!!"

"We really enjoyed the property. There are short hikes around the property, that you can link up to longer hikes if you choose. About 20 minutes from Nelson. There are a few cabins on the property, but very private and not all too close to each other. It was very quiet and easy to get to more urban areas if you choose. "The Alpine Inn makes traveling with pets really easy by providing plenty of outdoor green space to walk them which we really appreciated. The motel itself is older and so while it’s clearly well taken care of there remain a few areas that need a little sprucing up but despite that, it oozes charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great location being within less than a 5 mile drive from everything. We’ll stay again next time we’re in Nelson. "

"Great budget hotel! Although the building is older it is well maintained. Could hear some sounds outside of the window but the street quieted right down at night and with the fan running and earplugs no problem! Could hear some people on the stairs a bit but again quiet at night."

"This was my second time staying at the Hume. I love this historic property. Everything is so well preserved, even the historic elevator! The bathroom in my room was meticulously done with historic character. The breakfast at the restaurant was lovely, and the service exceptional. All staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again, hopefully soon!"
