After exploring Yellowstone during the day, it was so nice to return to this serene retreat. "My friend and I enjoyed the cabin and the quaint, small town of Silver Gate and neighboring town of Cooke City!! The location is perfect to begin the beautiful Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge and enter Yellowstone National Park. So interesting to realize that this cabin was a gas station so many years ago!"

"Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious with great service too!"

"This is an older motel but very clean. It is the perfect place to unplug. Even if you dont want to. This wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others. The only place the wifi works is at the office/camp store, no cell service and no tv's. It was very relaxing to sit around the camp fire each night. The rooms are clean but small. The shower was also very small."
