Nice and beautiful cabin surround by tall trees
We’ve enjoyed our stay at Shady Creek property for 4 days. We came from California for my nephews graduation at Mount Marty University. It was quiet, peaceful, and very nice and clean. We saw wild turkeys every morning and a family of deer every afternoons while we were there. Our teens for to do marshmallow s’mores over the nice big fire pit.

Great place for a large family!
Wonderful spot in the trees, close to the lake, nature trail and disc golf course. Lots of fun family activities in the area. House is clean, well equipped and beds are arranged for a variety of options. Very comfortable for our three generation family vacation.

This was fantastic for our use. Lots of bunk beds for the little ones, a wonderful great room to assemble, and a fantastic back yard and deck, complete with grill. Private, but with friendly neighbors.

This cabin in the woods was perfect! When you’re on the main floor it’s like your in a tree house. We loved the fire pit and the location. We also loved the decor. It was such a well designed space. Beautiful.

Overall the property was gorgeous! It is tucked away so it is quiet but close to any main attraction! I loved being able to walk up the stairs and look out every window and see some type of wildlife! The house was perfect for the girls weekend! Would recommend staying here to anyone! We will be back!

Not only was the property secluded, extremely clean, and decorated wonderfully, the layout was awesome for two families and every detail was considered… from nightlights in the rooms, to fire pit and beautiful patio, and well stocked kitchen. This is my second time staying at the property and it was excellent both times.

Loved our stay at Shady Creek Cabin.
This is our second summer that we have stayed in Shady Creek Cabin. It is a beautiful cabin and the wildlife was wonderful to watch. We enjoyed sitting outside by the firepit . We grilled out a few times and also enjoyed some local restaurants. The lake is about 5 minutes away which makes it really nice. I would definitely recommend this place. Looking forward to next year.

Our Second Stay
This was our second visit to this property, and once again it was a wonderful experience. We had six adults and twin six year olds. Everyone enjoyed it- we took walks, made s’mores, visited around the fire, played corn hole, and had our meals there. Our rooms and the two bathrooms were perfect for us, and we found everything we needed. We had visits from the local wildlife- deer and turkeys! This is our favorite VRBO rental.

Fantastic place!
I stayed here with my extended family over a weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations and location! The layout allowed each of our families time to ourselves (and our own beds) while also having a great room and outdoor areas that were perfect for gathering. I am picky about where we stay and this checked all my boxes. We were able to go down to the river, did some hiking, watched the wildlife, and enjoyed the sound of rain through the trees. It felt like being in the Black Hills without the 6 hour drive. We’ll definitely be back to “the treehouse” in the future!
