We had a great time staying here! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable and the view was insane! We enjoyed the hot tub very much and the pool table was fun as well! Joe was very responsive and kind and it made the stay very stress free! Would definitely come again!!!
This was our second time staying! We loved it as much as the first time and hope to return again! The beds are very comfy, the views are gorgeous, the pool is refreshing, and the memories will last forever!!!
Our stay was great and we can’t wait to do it again. The kids had so much fun in the pool and Jacuzzi and love having it all to ourselves. we also love waking up to the beautiful views.
great host. The view was amazing, the pool was incredible. Large place, enough room for multiple guests to enjoy comfortably. We are already planning to stay again next year
We made a last minute decision to get our kids and grandkids together and felt fortunate to find this rental. The home is quite dated, but the grandkids thought it was amazing, and the view was amazing. Joe was fantastic, the pool is huge, and we had a great time!
The views are amazing and the way the windows are placed makes the views almost feel like a painting. Go there to relax but yes the place feels dated and needs some maintenance work but the heated swimming pool and calm surroundings are well worth it. Joe was great to interact and very accomodating.
Mr. Prado and his wife are absolutely wonderful hosts. The house and property are amazing and the view is awesome. The home takes you back in time with original appliances and updated style it was the perfect place to remember life when all seemed easier. It was a pleasure to stay there and would/will stay there again.
We celebrated our honeymoon at this property and couldn't ask for such a special experience. You truly feel like you have privacy and the indoor pool was so nice during the hot weather. There is also a beautiful horse and lots of land to walk around on. You also can't beat the view from the floor to ceiling windows. The owers found out that we just go married and dropped off some champagne and a nice card. Will totally rent again.
Kids enjoyed the pool, we all enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Probably wouldn't recommend for younger kids who are prone to taking off or running, as there are lots of ledges and concrete stairs and cliffside accessible on the property. Could have used more towels and toilet paper for sure, so I'd recommend bringing your own pool/hot tub towels (only 12 towels for 10 people for 2 nights w/a pool and hot tub). Awesome view and some really fun touches!
The house was beautiful spacious and perfect for our group, we enjoyed the pool room, upstairs living room views were gorgeous (which made up for a lot) and the rooms were well set up besides the spare room - the few downfalls were not having the photo of the spare room on the site so our sleeping arrangements had to be changed up a bit. Also the hot tub and pool weren’t up kept so we couldn’t even enjoy those two amenities which was the reason we rented this house out. Lastly there was little to no utensils for breakfast.
Breathtaking views! Wonderful breeze! Comfy beds! Refreshing private pool, perfect for relaxation or play! Slide and diving board were super fun! Hot tub view was gorgeous, especially in the evening! Unique property, we really enjoyed the layout of the home! The horses were so cute! The all-around privacy is really nice, as well as stores and restaurants being within convenient driving distance! Our group consisted of ages ranging from 11-70 and we all had plenty to do!! The time flew by!! We had an amazingly surreal Sweet 16 getaway that we will remember forever!! We hope to come back again!! Thank you!!
Our volleyball team had a tournament at the Sundome and we wanted to find a house our players would enjoy, feel safe and relax after a full day of playing. This house checked all our boxes and had: a pool table, wall to wall windows, a hot tub and pool, beautifully kept grounds and ponies (including a baby!) that made us all giggle. The best part was waking up to the most stunning view and going to sleep seeing the lights of the city below.
We had an issue later in the evening (our own doing), the owner picked up right away and helped walk us through a solution. We would happily return again. Thank you!
This house is wild! It looks like it was the most decadent place people could even imagine in the 50's. When you're there you can totally imagine ladies in sleek evening gowns and fancy hairdos sipping martinis while men in loosened ties play snooker. The floor the ceiling windows in the living room and upstairs master are STUNNING. The architecture is textbook perfect for the era. There's even an old indoor elevator!
That said, this house is now very old and in need of some updating. But to be honest, because of that the price is very fair. For a house this big with these fabulous amenities (indoor pool, hot tub under the stars, snooker table, astounding views) the price is accurate and my budget is grateful that this house was on the more affordable side.
When we were there the pool was not heated so you might refrain from using it until it gets a little hotter outside. The nearby horses were nice, too.
We had a combined birthday party for our teenage daughters. The property was very accommodating. The kids had a great time and so did we. The fourth room has bunk beds, the kids said they weren’t very comfortable and ended up sleeping on the floor in a different room instead. There weren’t any extra blankets so that would’ve been nice to have for those kids. Lots of extra pillows though which was nice. The house could use some TLC but overall was accommodating and we did have a great time.
There was mice poop on kitchen counter we had to clean daily. Small plates of mice poison in bottom cabinets and behind dryer. Kitchen is old and needs new cabinets at least. Mouse ran past my foot in living room on morning to leave at 7 am. That's what did it for us.
The home has a circular floorplan that makes it both interesting and charming. The view is spectacular - like having a giant mural. The pool is in a stand-alone building right next to the house which is hard to tell from the pictures. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the large pool followed by a nightly hot tub soak. There are some cleaning issues and the kitchen is minimally stocked. The grounds are in need of some attention. The owner should provide more information on blinds and air conditioning. We stumbled onto how to operate the blinds and it took us a while to realize the A/C was so loud because all the vents were closed. Despite those things, we would definitely stay again! We had a great time!
The view, pool and hot tub are awesome but there are a few things about this place you should know before booking. I would not recommend this place for little ones as you are on a cliff. The only way to get to the lower floor is by elevator or walk around outside to get to lower slider. This place needs new dishes, pans, glasses and towels. I went to Target and bought some new dish and bath towels for us to use. They need to supply more paper towels and toilet paper. The barbecues are unusable which was a bummer for us as we were planning on grilling. The heating/cooling system is really really loud. It keeps the downstairs really hot and the upstairs cold. It's impossible to watch a movie as it's so loud. If you turn it off it gets too cold. The billiards table is cool but they need new cues. The place just needs a good cleaning as it's kinda gross in places. I will say the beds are super comfy. All in all it's a pretty place and we loved the pool and hot tub.
Pros: Gorgeous view, horses on premises.
Cons: Owner ignoring our communication AND Our 2 night stay at "Del Prado Estates" was disappointing. This home fell way short of our expectations. The photographs on VRBO were CLEARLY taken many years ago. The house was very dirty and in disrepair. The house was FULL of flies and fly tape hung randomly throughout the house. It was gross and made cooking challenging. Very few towels for a house this size for 7 people. The kitchen dishes had crusty food bits on all and had to be rewashed. There were only 4 forks. The first night we had to rotate eating so we could wash forks for the next person. None of the locks on the sliding glass doors throughout the house worked. The elevator was sketch and did not have any inspection records posted in it and I *highly* doubt it’s being inspected on a regular basis. We found only 1 smoke detector in the entire home. While I understand that an older house might not have the same amenities as a newer one, there is an expectation that the host would provide a SAFE home for guests. Home was advertised as having a heated pool and a snooker table (one of the major reasons we rented the home). Bathroom #4 was in the pool house with a non-working shower & toilet. The pool was cold, not heated and every pool stick was warped and missing tips. As a result, we couldn’t use the snooker table. Guests downstairs could not use shower, too moldy, had to use upstairs showers. AVOID this wreck of a house!
