I felt at home
When I arrived, there was no one at reception and the hotel was locked. But there was a phone number on the door and Heinz soon arrived and checked me in with a big welcome. Reception is mostly manned, but not between 1pm and 5pm nor after 7pm so important to have a working cellphone with you.

Great little hotel along the Wupper river. Room was big enough and everything was clean. Breakfast was a little sparse, but there are cafe's all over the place.

We are a couple travelling. We were welcomed and made to feel welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast although simple was a pleasure with a large choice. Coffee and tea making in the room would be the only suggestion we have. The hotel was very near to where we attended the dance theatre. Great location for that world renowned dance theatre.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
I will never again even consider staying here; I arrived on a cold and very snowy Saturday around 12.00 noon after arising before 0500 am to travel to Wuppertal. when I arrived at the hotel it was closed, lights off, with a sign in the window in German that said: Reception opens at 5.30 pm. How any hotel establishment can treat their guests this way is an outrage. They took my money and I have not had a refund! Simply beyond belief--there was no information in the booking documents about a restricted check in time. WARNING: this is not a serious hotel or accommodation option--avoid at all costs!
