Amy made us feel really welcome through her messages in advance and we really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies she had left for us. "We stayed for a weekend during a very hot spell. The cottage and gardens were delightful (great for playing hide and seek with the grandkids!) and the hosts welcoming. Be aware that it is on the flightpath for landing/take-off from Manchester airport so can be noisy - but on the upside, the kids enjoyed watching the planes! Co-op in the village for groceries, good fish & chips and local pubs for eating out. Would be helpful to have this information/contact details in the cottage. Would recommend...

"This house was easy access to Wrightington Hospital and a base whilst my husband was in hospital. It is old fashioned decor but spotlessly clean and had all facilities needed. The enclosed back garden was an asset for my dog and during the really hot spell a lovely place to sit. No complaints"
