Loved it!
Such a beautiful place to stay and so nice to hear the stories of all the animals from the hosts. Really appreciated the provisions as we had a full car so didnā€™t bring much food, plus the secure yard for the doggo was brilliant to know they didnā€™t need to be on lead the whole time. Highly recommend it as a place for travellers with dogs.

Perfect stay
This was a perfect stay for our family and dog. Well set up with dog yard and pet-friendly accommodation. The rural setting was perfect for us as it was a short walk to the forest, or a short drive to Mt Gambier. Thanks for the stay!

The cottage was lovely and homey. The rocker/reclines in the lounge were the same as we have at home which was great. The beds were super comfy. The yard and surrounds was a great space for our dogs. We will definitely stay there again

Beautiful cottage property
We had such a wonderful stay. Pauline and Russ are excellent hosts and the breakfast and provisions were amazing. It was wonderful to be able to bring our dog with us, and the kids loved getting up close and prrsonal with the animals. Have definitely recommended to all my family and friends.

Ideal country stay close to town for family and pets!
Communication from the owners was fantastic and Kelpie Cottage had everything needed for a cozy stay with our dog! We absolutely love the country feel and how tranquil the area is. The property is also so close to town, the tourist attractions and not far from the beaches and coast! Highly recommend and would love to come back again! Thank you!

Russ and Pauline are a lovely couple. They provided us with adequate information to reach the property. The fridge was filled with bread milk, eggs, wine..Kids loved feeding the sheep and having a tour in the farm. Our little pup loved his stay too

Best place we have ever stayed.
Kelpie cottage was the most amazing place we have ever stayed. Russell was so kind and very caring and went above and beyond for us. The cottage was clean and inviting and loved all the dog related decor. It was great having a huge secure yard for the dogs to enjoy. It's also in a great location, close to Mount Gambier and surrounded by amazing farm land. We would recommend this place to anyone especially if you are staying with pets! Our 2 pups loved exploring and we cannot wait to be back in the near future! You will not regret staying here!!

PEACEFUL COTTAGE
We spent 5 nights at Kelpie Cottage with our dogs. The accommodation provides everything you could need for a short stay. Electric stovetop proved a little problematic (couldnā€™t get the heat down low enough) but everything else was great. Bottle of wine, breakfast supplies, firewood, lovely comfy recliner chairs, nice hot shower, comfy bed. We had business to do in town and the cottage filled the bill nicely.

Perfect place for your fur baby & family!
We had a wonderful stay at Pet Friendly Cottages. The accomodation was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The pillows were great quality and bed super comfy, which made my husband very happy! We loved the cute little touches for pets, like dog bowls and beds, which I am sure made our fur baby feel very welcome! Russ and Pauline were lovely hosts who kindly let us meet some of their gorgeous animals. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Mt. Gambier!

In the country, close to town
We had a lovely stay. The owners were welcoming and friendly but we had plenty of privacy as well. Pauline came over for a chat on Day 2 to check everything was going well. Good food preparation facilities, they had everything we needed covered. Warm bedding to protect against the chilly nights but the aircon was super effective if anyone needed a back up. Really well set up place, if you have pets or not. Highly recommended.
