"Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy"

"Stayed here for 2 night's in June and loved it, the place is warm and welcoming, the bed was massive and comfy with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Shower was easy to use and very clean, definitely stay here again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and cooked how you like it, the host was friendly and veey helpful."

"This was a lovely home with gracious and helpful hosts, off-street parking and a fabulous garden right next door to a historic 14th century Norman church. Alistair gave us lots of very helpful information about beautiful local walks, along with excellent maps and detailed instructions. The village is great with several nice places to eat (again Tricia and Alistair gave us excellent advice), and a local bakery which will make you a packed lunch for your walks. We thoroughly recommend this B&B and...

"We booked our stay back in September. On 13th October we travelled 200 miles from Scotland, arriving at 8pm, to find it closed. It transpired that the hotel had gone out of business on 5th October. No one had thought to inform us, and cancel our booking! I spent an hour on the phone speaking to various people in America, employed by Hotels.com, assuming they would be able to help, perhaps by arranging alternative accommodation. Instead they each wasted time by going through the same pointless...
