"Unable to give a rating for this property as someone else was already staying in the accommodation we had booked thru Vrbo. Spent 4 hours travelling to a luxury lodge for 2 night break. Upon arrival, we found that someone else was already in occupation. The 'Host' of the lodge was unhelpful about our situation and just told us to contact Vrbo who it seems didn't book or confirm our break with the 'host'. The first call to Vrbo lasted just over 5 minutes and then I got cut off. My 2nd call lasted...

"+++ The accommodation itself is wonderful and offers the most needed items. We also enjoyed the hot tub at the patio area very much. - - - Having said that, we surprisingly experienced some absolutely "no goes" we didn't expect at all. Firstly, the patio door can't be locked as we found out when a person walked straight to the back door of the cottage and checked if it was locked. "The cottage was dirty, the kitchen smelt of grease and all the pots where dirty. It smelt very fusty like it had been left unused for a long time. Beds where very uncomfortable, my wife described it as the worst nights sleep she has ever had. None of my kids could sleep either. Left after the first night and had to spend more money to stay somewhere. When I mentioned all this to the host they completely ignored me and stopped responding to my messages."
