"Absolutely stunning venue. Great place and facilities in a period setting. I struggled to sleep for two reasons, the rooms were so warm and when I opened the window to cool down, the road noise was terrible. "The service was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our initial room had a very strange strong unpleasant smell so we asked to be moved. They moved us happily into another room but unfortunately that smelt of stale smoke but it was preferable to the first room. The facilities were good. We used the gym, pool and sauna several times during our stay. They are very small so if it’s busy it might be an issue. Food and drink was good. "

A little tight, but well appointed and suitable for use. Clean, freshly decorated, well-appointed bathroom, excellent shower, etc. The bar area was buzzy with activity and the service was second to none. The drinks were great and the food was excellent. "

"We stayed one night so I could be at the hospital for an op at 7.00am. When checking in Alison on reception was really kind, telling my husband he could go back to the hotel and use their facilities even after check out. She even loaned us her own usb plug overnight so we could charge our devices. We have known the hotel for years, my husband went to King Edward’s school across the road, and I used to stay on business in the 1980’s and 90’s. We also held my husband’s 60th birthday party there...
