"The house was great for our annual Christmas gathering. The home was warm and cosy despite the cold weather and we were very comfortable. Jo, the owner lives next door and made us welcome."

"Positives: The house was large with nice grounds. There was a nice walk to the local pub. The bedrooms overall were nice. Technical issues: • The hot tub kept tripping the fuseboard. So we missed out on the tub on the Friday night. • A few more dishwashing tablets would have been helpful, as would bin bags • The outside staircase up to the building had large spaces between the bars, which is dangerous for small kids. We suggest a simple wire in the middle of these to ensure kids don’t fall...

"The stay was great, everything was as published. It is quiet and secuded...so if you arrive after dark in fog like we did, have a flashlight/torch handy to help make your way from the parking area to the house. We ate at the nearby pub and had a nice meal. The host was super responsive to our communication via VRBO. It was located about 15 minute drive to York."

"This is a very spacious, comfy property in a great location for exploring the area. It was a short drive to Outwood station and from there a 10 minute train ride into Leeds. We also visited the National Mining Museum near to Wakefield which was very educational. We would recommend this house for anyone looking for a short break in this area."

"well the whole house was appalling. the house smelt as soon as you walked in, the ceilings were leaking the floors where dirty and brown. a broken fridge that stunk that we were unaware off until after 2 hours of being there. dirty dishes in the cupboard, no utensils whatsoever, holes in the wall, big clusters of storage all over the house, tv did not even work, the garden was an absolute mess, the built in fridge was dirty and sticky. dried up liquid underneath the fridge, the hot water did not...

The property is really handy for easy access to the centre of Leeds or access to the motorway for travel further a field. We stayed while our house was being renovated and found it a lovely place to work from home but also easy to access major routes out of Leeds when we needed to travel into work.
