"The hotel is in a lovely, old, building with lots of character and the rooms are charming. A nice change from the standard chain hotel rooms. The fireplace and whirl pool tub are also nice touches. She is a bit down at the heels though, a bit like an ageing Duchess who is fraying a little around the edges. Patches in the paint work, scuffs in the carpets, etc. The place is clean however and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient for downtown shopping & dining....

"The property is very charming and had a lovely visit at the spa. Would want to stay here again for sure. The restaurant was a bit disappointing. Not enough staff working and they were out of most items we selected. We ordered a bottle of wine and took 4 attempts before they had one in stock and it arrived after our meal was finished. I felt bad for the person serving us as she had the entire dining room and bar to manage by herself. "
