"Lovely stay on New Year’s Day after working the whole of Christmas. Staff were friendly and professional. Room was lovely and spacious with a comfortable bed and powerful shower. "Lovely setting, room was immaculate with a view of the lake and the formal gardens. We found the bed and pillows quite firm but cannot fault the accommodation. We ate in the castle view restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was fantastic and great cocktails which we thought were good value. Castle access is included in the stay but due to bed weather the castle and attractions did not open on the Sunday which was our plan for the day. Quite disappointed to have missed out. "

"We had a 2 night stay in the Four Poster Room. The room was lovely and spacious with the bathroom upstairs. All the staff we came across were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "We booked Mary's wonderful house for a weekend away in December for a catch up with old friends (12 of us in total). We had an amazing time and really recommend the house. It has lots of character from being an old pub called The Star and the rooms were really comfy with almost all of them having their own ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious for cooking even for 12 people and we loved the fireplace and piano in the main living room. We didn't get out much due to storms...
