"The property is located right by a channel leading to the IJsselmeer, but sheltered enough to allow children to play by the water. The holiday resort in which it is located offers rental boats, a billard table, tennis courts, crazy golf, a play park, wind surfing, kite surfing and fresh bakery products in the morning. The beach is a leisurely 20 minute walk away, but you can use the bicycles provided and get there in 5. The house is perfect; spotlessly clean, lots of space and every commodity...

"We are a group of 5 women (ages 55-87) and we stayed for 4 nights. This house was a perfect base for our daily trips to tour the 11 cities. While we didn’t cook much at all, we noticed the kitchen was very well equipped. We mostly just enjoyed evening snacks and wine and the water view is very tranquil. The stairs were easy to navigate for my 87-year old mother and we appreciated having bathrooms both up and downstairs. The couch was comfortable and we loved having a screen on the sliding door....

"This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."

"Our Holiday in grou was wonderful. The house was really well equipped and big enoug for all of our family + our dogs. The garden is surrounded by fences and hedges. That gives you a lot of privacy and you don`t have to worry about the dogs. The garden is big enough for playing tabletennis and badminton, which we did a lot :-) Moreover there is a little ferry 5 minutes away, which brings you to the city center for shopping or visiting restaurants or doing some waterspouts. "We stayed in the house in mid February: The house had everything we needed for a family of 7. It was decorated very nicely and we felt at home from the very beginning. All the equipement in the house were good quality. There was nothing missing in the house that we could think of. We definitely recommend this house and will stay here again. Our host also made sure that we had everything we needed."
