Newly renovated 4 season cottage: lake fun, close to ATV trails, wi-fi, and pet friendly.

Two bedroom, 1 bath, 1000 sq ft home is across the street from S. Barber Lake. The private dock has space for your boat, plus kayaks & a pedal boat available for your use.

Enjoy the day on the lake and then head back to the cottage to relax on the deck, play yard games, grill, or build a fire. Our sunsets are spectacular and the loons are sure to share a song with you.

If you like to stay busy, there are tons of great activities close. You're surrounded by great fishing lakes and rivers, the Tuscobia ATV trails are 3 miles away and good golfing is 30 miles away. Do some hiking and picture taking at Copper Falls State park, just an hour away, kayak or tube down a lazy river, head to Bayfield and the Apostle Islands.

Great place to stay
House is all new inside, comfortable beds, close to trails for Atv and snowmobiles, Hosts are wonderful and make sure you have everything you need and a great resource for local information. Onsite parking available for your atv or snowmobile trailers. Lots of great food places within 20 minutes or less. We are looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

Look no further!
Wow! This was our first time ever doing a vacation home rental and it exceeded my expectations. The place is even more beautiful in person. Judy and her husband were both super friendly and easy to get along with. Judy was able to suggest some fun shops and restaurants and her husband enjoyed talking fish with my husband. Judy didn't miss any details when it came to making sure we would have everything we needed to enjoy our stay. They provided everything from bug spray to toothpicks. The cabin was very clean and the perfect size for the 6 of us to enjoy. There were also 2 kayaks and a paddle boat for us to use which was a hit for all of us. She made up 2 extra beds in the living room for our kids (teens) to sleep on and they loved it. All the beds were super comfortable and the bedding was perfect. The communication was top notch and any questions I had, she was quick to respond. Even though the dock was across the street, it never impacted the fun we had. I highly recommend staying here and we plan to return next month.

Birthday weekend
The place was gorgeous it was tucked in a little wooded area surrounded by lake Chippewa the house was immaculate not a dust bunny in sight and I have OCD so you know this was a very clean place. They have every comfort you can have an array of board games and so many different outside games such as corn whole kickball and don't get me started on the cute pattle boat and kayaks this is definitely a beautiful place to take your family and friends if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city they also had every amenity a house would have stove utensils refrigerator cable and a propane grill to grill your wonderful meals in the summer all in all it was a beautiful place to stay for a birthday weekend or any holiday. our host was so hospitable she went out of her way to make me and my family welcome I will never forget this beautiful cottage this was 1 for the books😁💕🏞️👏🍾🎉🎂🙏❤️

Quaint, cozy and comfy!
This was the perfect place to stay for the 5 of us! Amenities cover all activities and needs. Relaxing and quiet which was great after a busy family gathering.

A perfect getaway
I cannot say enough good things about both this home and the owners! The home was absolutely beautiful- everything looked brand new, was well maintained and very clean, and there were so many little extra touches that made it feel like home. We brought our dogs and all of the furniture was covered with protectors when we arrived so we didn't have to worry about our dogs wrecking anything. They even had a towel for wiping the dogs' feet, dog bowls set out for them, leashes for both of them and waste bags. The coffee bar was amazing and lovely touch that we didn't expect. There were quite a few things that we wouldn't have needed to pack because they were already provided. The property and lake were beautiful. The owners, Jody and Larry, were fantastic! I had a questions about the lake and the property before I booked and Jody answered my many inquiries promptly and with tons of info. They went out of their way to make sure that we had enough kayaks and lifejackets for all of us. When we met them in person, they were so friendly, inviting and generous. I hope that this is a property that we will be able to return to in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely Northwoods retreat without sacrificing any modern luxuries.

Wonderful Family Vacation
My family of 4 (2 small kids and our dog) had a wonderful vacation at Jody's cottage. A very easy walk down to the lake where the kids could wade in the water. Jody went above and beyond providing us tubes for floating, sand toys, playdough, coloring books, reading books etc etc for our kids! It was so very appreciated. Jody also went above and beyond whenever I had a question or was looking for advice on a restaurant or activity. Always quick and easy communication with her. The cottage is decorated in a modern and cute way (not the usual northwoods aesthetic!). The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The outdoor space was amazing too with a fire pit, yard games, grill etc. I can't recommend Jody's place enough.

Lovely home and Amazing Hosts
We had a wonderful time in Winter for a weekend. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, modern and clean. The water access and water toys are fantastic.

Just perfect
Best ‘up north’ experience and accommodations in a long time! Larry & Jodie were excellent hosts. They know just the right balance of being willing and helpful, anticipating your every need, without being intrusive. The property we rented was uber clean. And I’m picky about this. Jodie has it decorated eclectically homey and they have anticipated your every need including GREAT SNACKS! Not your typical up north motif which was refreshing. Barber lake is a beautiful place. Easy access boat landing-low traffic. Got to see a loon, deer, turkeys, walleye, perch, pumpkin seeds, blue gill, crappie and large mouth bass! And how can I forget Beaner, Mocha and Harvey-our hosts’ 3 pups!
