"Our first stay in this Hotel and it didn’t disappoint. Friendly staff from the start, check in was a breeze. Security lock to the rooms so only guests have access as the bar and restaurant is open to the public. Room was great, had a balcony overlooking the main high street was a nice surprise. We had an evening meal there, good choice on the menu, again service was excellent. Following morning we had a breakfast, great selection, choice of cooked items as well as the cereal selections."

"Very charming hotel with a lively vintage vibe and an excellent restaurant. The room and general interior seemed tired, but everything was very clean and smelled lovely. The courtyard beer garden is very characterful! The staff were all young and cheerful and the food was phenomenal! Do go for their recommendation of house beers - Arkell's Brewery, very good brew. My partner and I often go for short city breaks and recently decided to steer clear of AirBnB for ethical reasons and seek out local...

"Stay good motel style easy access Beer good Didn't have meals only served weekends Last day forgot sort our room had to ask for fresh towels (usualy changed daily good quality too) n coffee etc We in room 11 wifi rubbish hit n miss if your where lucky Rooter at top of corridor Struggled to get channel on tv Easy walk into town Beer garden could do with bit of attention (could do with couple goats) Shower / room small no where to put anything (good job not got cat) Only one chair n stool for desk"

"Stayed one night at this amazing place wished we could have stayed longer. We dined in restaurant the food was excellent hubby had ribeye steak and I tried the belly pork with crushed potatoes leeks and apple sauce and cider which was the most delightful plate of food I’ve had in a long time the staff were very helpful and the breakfast very good would definitely recommend this establishment you will not be disappointed "
