"The house was a perfect place to spread out and relax, while exploring the Rhine by car and boat. The paid parking lot was very convenient to the lodging (once we discovered the shortcut under the road and up some stairs). We didn’t take advantage of the sauna or the jacuzzi tub, but the washer and full kitchen was perfect. I was surprised to find that the bed on the top floor was a waterbed—I slept like a baby. "Alfred and Nicole’s place is so artfully done, peaceful, and comfortable. It is impeccably clean and they were the most welcoming hosts we’ve ever had. The property is just outside a small town, and there isn’t too much traffic during the day but at night it is silent. They were so welcoming of our little dachshund, and the gate can be closed to provide a safe place for a doggie to investigate. Their dog Paul is a lovely good boy. "Great house to stay at but a car is essential if you plan on a lot of exploring and for local shopping. Local bus stop just around the corner for both directions and Vallandar is around a 30 minute walk away or nearest city of Koblenz (which is wunderbar!) is a 30 minute bus trip.
