"The room was very cosy and clean. The bed was comfy and we both slept really well (in part because it was so quiet too). Massive TV with all streaming services available, tea and coffee making facilities and a powerful electric shower. The room could do with a little bit of touching up and maintenance but this was greatly outweighed by everything mentioned above. We had a few drinks in the pub both nights we were there and the staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious car park available...

"Delightful Tudor pub with 7 bedrooms in a quiet village. Tis was a perfect stopover and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the main pub area in the morning. Will definitely come back and recommend."

"From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. "

"This was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. The staff were friendly and helpful, great service a lovely evening meal and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely be returning with hopefully better weather."
