Surrounded by well tended gardens, guests also have access across the surrounding land down to the privately owned 2 miles of riverbank along the River Torridge, where, by arrangement you can fly fish for sea and brown trout and wild salmon. Despite its quiet location, the cottage is ideally located for those wanting to get out and explore the charming north Devon coast and countryside. There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth. Enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. If gardens are of interest, you will find the RHS gardens at nearby Rosemoor a delight, and there are numerous National Trust properties in the surrounding area to enjoy. The town of Great Torrington lies close by, where you will find the Dartington Crystal Factory and the Civil War museum. At Bideford’s quay you can book a trip to Lundy Island and slightly further afield there is the Dartmoor National Park. Beach lovers will delight in the wide sandy beaches, the nearest is at Westward Ho! The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep will fascinate the younger ones.
