"I like waking up with the sound of the birds, not like from the noise that one experience in town. Its isolation makes it more nice as a place to relax from all the fatigue of stresses and hotness. The lodge is really a place one can go just to relax for two or three days. I took game driving about was not really satisfied as we did not see many animals but the driver was really good and have a best customer service one could offer. "

"It is the oldest private game preserve, and it shows. Wrinkled pictures in frames filled with dead bugs, the yard needs a serious clean. That being said the bar/dinner area is quite lovely. Game drive vehicles are ancient. (One hour drive is R450, which seems really steep). I stayed at one of the ‘chalets’. As basic as it gets. "A real gem! So pleased I chose to stay here. The welcome was warm & genuine & the staff were so friendly & efficient. Room was large clean & comfortable, the garden & terrace a real oasis & dinner was delicious! And only a ten minute transfer to the airport (at5am) with the genial owner. Am so pleased I chose to stay here 😊"

"A good Hilton hotel with an excellent rooftop area (small pool and bar). The menu for breakfast and dinner was varied and the food very good quality. I'd prefer a bathroom in a separate room rather than a bath with no privacy and a shower cubicle, given it was a twin room."
