Lovely stay at at High Borrans
We have stayed at High Borrans several times and always enjoy the tranquil scenic location and comfort. The lodge has all the facilities needed for a self-catering break and, although sited in a beautiful and quiet spot, is within easy reach of local facilities. I would thoroughly recommend High Borrans as a place for couples to stay when visiting the central Lake District.

Perfect lakes getaway
We arrived early and were allowed to check in before our time. The lodge is perfectly equipped, warm and cosy. It was a beautiful autumnal day so we sat out in the decking with beautiful views. There was lots of walking to be done and we also had a drive around the area. Would highly recommend and certainly be coming back.

Hazel-High Borrans
This was our fourth stay at High Borrans (twice in the Shepherds Hut Percy and twice in Hazel)We love the peaceful situation on the farm. The site is perfect for Windermere and Bowness but just a short drive from the Northern lakes and towns.Cath the proprietor is a lovely lady who will come and have a chat and is always there to sort any problems you may have ( in our four visits we have had no problems whatsoever). The place has become our happy place for chilling out and relaxing. The lodges are modern and spotlessly clean and well maintained. We wish we could visit more often and are hoping to visit again soon.

Hazel
This was our third stay at High Borrans.Previously we hired the Shepherds hut but this time we decided to have a bit more room.We we’re in the lakes for a family wedding and wanted to stay over the weekend. Our lodge was Hazel and it was really clean and tidy and so comfortable.Cath the owner of the site is a lovely lady and can’t do enough for you.The lodge is situated on a farm a few miles out of Windermere and is so peaceful and quiet.I would highly recommend staying here and hopefully I’ll be back in the future.

Excellent accommodation
A beautiful lodge with everything you could possibly need. Its location is ideal as it is easy to get to Windermere & further afield. Being set on a farm you have the benefit of being surrounded by the beautiful countryside. Would highly recommend staying here.

Stunning Break
The lodge was absolutely stunning, loved the decor, very comfy and had everything we needed. The Site was very peaceful, it wasn't fully booked which completely shocked me! But I think even if it was would still be quiet. We spent most our days out exploring and our evenings in, this was partly because of single track roads but also suited our routine. The drive to Lake Windermere/shops etc wasn't that far. The only thing I was suggest is having a recycling bin in the property, our place got very messy as nowhere to store it and didn't want to go to the site bins each time. Also, on our final day not all bins were there meaning we had to bin alot of our recycling.
