The Snuggle is only a few minutes walk from Windermere High Street and has it's own off street car park which means it's perfect whether you arrive by car or public transport. While you're here enjoy the sights in Windermere or Bowness or head further afield into the Lake District Fells. Whatever you decide to do with your days know that you have a great base to explore from.
The Apartment:
The Snuggle is on the ground floor of a three storey apartment block. (The apartment above has two floors). It has it's own private entrance from the street with three steps up to the front door. The apartment is all on one level and consists of an open plan lounge/dining area with a sofa bed which folds down to the size of a large single/three quarter bed. Please note that linen for this must be requested at the time of booking and will be provided for an additional charge of £25 per stay. The lounge has a 39" JVC Smart TV and a smart speaker. Leading off the lounge/diner is the kitchen which contains a gas hob and oven, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is one bedroom with a double bed and a shower room with a mains shower, toilet and basin. There is also a table and benches at the front of the property so you can enjoy some time outside.
You will have the whole property to yourself.
The Local Area:
Lake Windermere is the largest body of water in England and is one of the lakes which make up the Lake District's World Heritage Site. This coupled with its association with Beatrix Potter means it is one of the most well known towns in the Lake District. The Snuggle is on a quiet residential street just a few minutes walk from Windermere High Street which is full of shops, cafes and restaurants and only a seven minute drive to the shores of Lake Windermere itself.
Additional Guests:
The property does have a small sofa bed so up to two additional guests can be accommodated with prior approval, however there is a charge of £25 per stay for linen for each additional guest.
Parking and Public Transport:
There is a dedicated car parking space behind the apartments and restricted on-street parking in front of the apartment. Further unrestricted on-street parking can be found on the following roads: College Road, Ellerthwaite Road, Holly Road and Park Road. The closest SLDC car park is Broad Street Car Park which is about a 4 minute walk from The Snuggle. This has free parking between 8pm and 8am and designated 'Early Bird Parking' bays where you can park all day for £1 if you arrive before 9am.
It is less than ten minutes walk to Windermere bus station which provides local services and the train station which is at the end of the line from Kendal Station (serviced by the West Coast Main Line).
Check-in and Check-out:
The property is set up to allow remote access with easy self check-in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed.
Please note: Check-in is from 16:00 and Check-out is before 10:00.
We Provide:
We provide a selection of complimentary teas and coffees, oil, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, cling film, tin foil and greaseproof paper as well as a washing-up pack, oven gloves and tea towels. The consumables should last at least a couple of days. If you do need to top up your supplies there is a Co-op just around the corner where you will be able to do this.
We also provide locally made hair and body wash and hand wash in refillable aluminium bottles from Bath House and some cleaning products in case you need them while you are visiting. The cleaning products can be found under the sink in the kitchen.
Additional Fees/Charges:
A pre-authorisation charge of £100 will be applied to your credit card 24 hours before checkout as a damage deposit. This will be automatically refunded if not needed 10 days after checkout.
A £50 charge will be requested if you check out or check in up to an hour outside the set times without prior permission and an extra night's rate for any time greater than this.
There will be a £50 call out fee if keys are locked inside the property and a £100 fee if keys are lost or not left in the key safe on your departure.
Parties are strictly prohibited.
Hot tub hire is strictly prohibited.
Extra guests are not allowed unless you have prior approval and have paid the additional guest fee.
Respect for our neighbours is much appreciated so we ask you to keep the noise down between 10pm and 7am.
Please note that check in time is from 4pm and check out is before 10am. Unless you have advance approval for an early check in or late check out, these will be charged at £50 for up to an hour and an extra night's rate for any time greater than an hour.
A fee of £100 will be charged if you lose the keys or they are not left in the key safe on your departure. We will also charge a callout fee of £50 if you lock the keys inside the property.
Please leave the property in a similar state to when you arrived and lock all doors and windows.
