Come enjoy a restful stay in a beautiful modern farmhouse situated in a quiet neighborhood with close proximity to great wineries, breweries and restaurants. Newly renovated, the spacious living room hosts tons of natural light and is a great gathering space to relax and refresh.
This part of central Texas is wine country. With over 30 wineries, dozens of breweries and even a few distilleries, Wimberly is perfectly situated and just minutes away from Driftwood and Dripping Springs and all both towns have to offer.
Let's start with Driftwood:
Dutchman, Fall Creek and Driftwood wineries are just a few of the amazing wineries you can enjoy in one day as all are closely situated to each other. For a change of pace, Driftwood is also home to Desert Door, a mystical shop selling Sotol. Desert Door was named the Best Craft Specialty Spirits Distillery by USA Today. And the tasting room is way cool.
Stinson's Distillery and Vista Brewing round out the drinking vibes.
If you are all about food, BBQ in particular, than you can not stay here without a trip to the world famous Salt Lick. This place is the quintessential BBQ joint, picnic tables and pit smokers galore. And meat, lots of delicious, carnivore loving meat.
When you have had your fill of bbq and want to try some other great food, head over to Trattoria Lisina for a change of pace. This amazing restaurant serves up delicious homemade pasta.
Round out your dining experience in Driftwood with a meal at Hays City Store, this place boasts craft cocktails and scratch made comfort food, you won't be disappointed.
Onto Dripping Springs:
Dripping Springs is known for its rolling hills, scenic river and creeks, and unique downtown with boutiques, a quaint coffee shop and several brew pubs. But it's best known as home to Deep Eddy Distillery tasting room. If vodka is your thing, this is the ideal spot for an afternoon cocktail. One of the most popular destinations to visit, the distillery is located right off of Highway 290 in Dripping Springs. Bell Springs Winery, and Twisted X Brewing Room round out a great day of drinking. :)
Make sure you visit Texas Hill Country Olive Oil Company, the bistro is great!
A trip to the 200-acre Hamilton Pool Preserve is a great way to enjoy nature. The preserve is overflowing with lush plants, and a variety of wildlife species. The pool, a geological masterpiece was formed by thousands of years of water erosion which created a collapsed grotto and boosts a 50ft waterfall. Please note, reservations are required.
A visit to Reimers Ranch will put you right on the banks of the Pedernales River where you’ll have 3 continuous miles of river frontage to explore. The park which is situated on over 2,400 acres and gives you access to over 18 miles of trails perfect for hiking and biking. After you’ve worked up a sweat, you can hop in the cool, clear river for some swimming and relaxation.
Wimberly and its neighboring towns, Driftwood and Dripping Springs is a great getaway for those seeking a leisurely, restful break from everyday life. It's beautiful here and life moves at it's own place.

Super cute house
Very cute house with lots of room. In the middle of Dripping Springs and Wimberley, so driving to either was simple. Well maintained inside. My only complaint was there were many spiders and rollie pollie bugs(they were dead). I expect that in the Hill country, but I think a monthly spraying is necessary. I would stay there again
