The Texas A Frame is a place to unwind, nourish your soul & build memories that will last a lifetime. A place designed for friends & family; for indulging in a state of serenity & a deep connection with nature. This cabin is not just a getaway, it's an experience.
Nestled on a bluff, 40 feet above the Blanco River, the Texas A Frame is surrounded by towering oak trees & native wildflowers - with easy access to hiking trails & watering holes.
The Texas A Frame is a newly constructed, spacious cabin with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Natural light infuses the space with fifteen skylights showcasing the captivating views of the Hill Country landscape.
The living room includes a modern chesterfield leather couch and three upholstered chairs making for a perfect lounging space. There is also a 55 inch smart TV along with a variety of books and board games that can be found in the media console.
The kitchen is lined with stainless steel appliances including a french door refrigerator and freezer unit, 3-rack dishwasher and a gas range stove-top and oven. There is also basic kitchen equipment, utensils for light cooking, a microwave and a standard coffee machine (ground coffee provided).
All three bedrooms have distinct design features showcasing rare photographs, prints and decor from Texas. These rooms have memory foam mattresses lined with comfy bedding and pillows for a restful retreat and also include their own closet, dresser and ceiling fan.
Two uniquely-designed, full bathrooms are located on the main and second level. The main level bathroom has a moroccan tiled shower and tub if a bath is more your style. Towels and bath products are provided.
The back deck features a plunge pool that is 6 feet wide along with lounge chairs, a dining area and outdoor charcoal grill (grilling tools are provided, not charcoal). The plunge pool has a heater installed in it that you can turn on and off at your leisure.
The A Frame and surrounding 6 acres of the property are the ideal locale for intimate celebrations, professional workshops, creative retreats, photo shoots, adventuring by the river or a relaxing weekend getaway. You will have access to the entire property throughout your stay.
Please let us know how you plan to use the space so we can accommodate as needed. All photo shoots must be approved by the owners prior to booking.
Should you need any assistance throughout your stay, we are available to support via phone. Phone number will be provided upon confirmation of booking.
Located in the heart of the Hill Country, Wimberley, TX, the A Frame is approximately a one hour drive from Austin and San Antonio and a three hour drive from Houston and Dallas. The renowned Wimberley town square is only a short ride away (~15 minutes). Filled with unique shops and restaurants, it is the perfect way to experience the charm of Wimberley and support local businesses!
The property is located in a quiet and secluded neighborhood.
There is parking onsite at the property. The driveway can accommodate a total of 3 vehicles.
Please note, the driveway is windy and steep as you are entering and exiting the property, especially if you are driving at night when it is dark outside.
In the winter months, setting the thermostat to 60 degrees is the 'sweet spot' for comfortability throughout the house. Due to the structural nature of the A Frame, the upstairs heats up quickly while the downstairs tends to remain cooler. The upstairs bedroom has a ceiling fan and a portable fan to cool down the space if needed.
The cabin is on a well system like many other properties in the Hill Country, which means the water may taste a bit different from what you're used to. With that, we have a variety of options for you to enjoy throughout your stay -- tap water from the kitchen sink, filtered water from the spout inside the refrigerator and/or a container of bottled water in the kitchen. Feel free to bring extra bottled water for your stay based on your preference!
The property sits on a part of the Blanco River that is most likely to be dry due to recent droughts. We do not have a direct walking path to the river, but you're able to climb through brush and explore if you're feeling adventurous!
Wimberley is an international dark sky community meaning the city has shown exceptional dedication to the preservation of the night sky through the implementation and enforcement of a quality outdoor lighting ordinance, dark sky education and citizen support of dark skies. On a clear night, the sky lights up with countless stars in a truly magical way.
Enjoy your stay!
