Welcome to The Sweet Escape~
Upon arrival to The Sweet Escape you will find a fun snack basket in the kitchen & bottled water in the fridge. You can also brew a cup of coffee with all the extras in case you need a pick me up!
If you need a quick nap, there are three comfortable beds (already made) with 100% high thread count, cotton sheets. You will find this on a very safe cul de sac in a quiet, wide street, low traffic neighborhood perfect for your morning walks~
The Sweet Escape is less than ten minutes from UNCW & fifteen minutes from Wilmington's Historic Downtown Riverfront. You can also walk just five minutes away to a coffee shop / restaurant & only a ten minute walk to Mayfair. Mayfair is Wilmington’s Premier Lifestyle Shopping Center that offers over 80 stores and 20 restaurants.
We have three bedrooms, featuring three very comfortable beds ~ One king & 2 queen beds. We have one full bathroom & a half bathroom. Our living room features a 65 inch smart TV along with a new leather sofa and swivel chair. We also have a step down den set up with new sofa, two chairs and a desk / chair duo. We also have a 43 inch smart TV in the den. There’s a pocket door that can keep the kids video sound out from the other room!
We offer a fully equipped kitchen with all large and small appliances. If you have any particular specialty item for the kitchen that you may need, please inquire and I'll make sure to have it for you. Kitchen leads out to our patio that is set up for relaxing by our beautiful garden / grill area and the fire pit (we provide firewood & kindling) The back yard is fenced in for your small children & pups safety and we have recently added overhead lighting features to enhance the outdoor ambiance, highlight the charm of the garden area and offer the perfect setting for evening conversations and photo ops! There is plentiful parking with room for an RV, boat & trailer (Municipal boat ramp is just under 3 miles away).
We take pride in our home and ensure that it's cleaned & sanitized properly for your stay.

We had a wonderful time in this home away from home. They thought of everything to keep everyone comfortable (extra blankets, lots of towels, kids dishes, even great quality paper towels/toilet paper!). It’s the perfect location, close to everything, quiet area annd comfortable beds! owners are very responsive and helpful. We are already looking forward to a stay in 2025! Thank you for the hospitality ❤️

Home away from home!
This home was in a super good location of Wilmington. It had everything you could need and felt like you were staying at a family member’s home. We will definitely be using this home again when we return to Wilmington.

The house was great and its location is ideal for access to Mayfair and Wrightsville Beach. The fenced yard worked well for our dogs. The beds were very comfortable as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location in quiet neighborhood
This was the perfect spot for us to stay during our visit to Wilmington for homecoming weekend. Quick and easy access to the town but a nice quiet neighborhood. Property was super clean and had all the amenities. Loved the layout and the extra things to make you feel at home including a snack basket and sleep machine.

My happy place!
We have loved Wrightsville Beach for years! We now have e-bikes and this place is perfect. Plenty of room, right next to Mayfair Center, the cross town trail is easy access and the beach is close! Bonus is the wonderful fenced in back yard with beautiful flowers & greenery. Can't wait to book again.

Loved the location, the back patio/grill, super clean and well stocked. We’ve been renting in Wrightsville/Wilmington for over 20 years. This is by far the best set up (thoughtful supplies from the host throughout).
