The hosts were amazing and the home is beautiful and felt like a home! We enjoyed a time in the quiet and peaceful setting. I would highly recommend this location for anyone exploring The Bourbon Trail!!
We loved our stay. The property was clean and quiet. It had everything we needed and the host messaged us to check in. Highly recommend if you are wanting a quiet place to getaway to.
It was such a beautiful property. Quiet and peaceful country living. The cabin itself had everything anyone could want. Very clean, very modern and just an overall joy to stay in such a wonderful place. We would love to come back for another stay in the future.
Our stay here was for my husbands 40th birthday bourbon trail trip and it was perfect for us and our sweet pup. It’s in a quiet location with lots of seclusion and places to walk and roam. This little cabin was quaint and the quality was wonderful. We look forward to visiting again in the spring or summer!
Lovely private cottage located close enough to lots of interesting and fun things to see and do. Would definitely choose this location again if in the area. Thanks for sharing this little slice of heaven!
Quiet and gorgeous. The property manager was incredibly nice and has created a perfect getaway spot. There are several wineries and distilleries to check out close by.
Judith was so kind and accommodating to us! From being flexible with our check in times to offering us her services when we got into a pinch: we highly recommend her!
Idyllic experience. Just perfect. Owners are responsive, very friendly and the property is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Every effort was made to make us feel right at home. Also a perfect location between Louisville and Lexington. Can't recommend enough!
We had such a wonderful stay. It was exactly what we needed to take a break from the stresses of life. The horses and buffalo on the road leading to the home were an added treat. Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. Not your average stay!
The place was so pretty, immaculate, and extremely comfortable. The owners provided lots of little nicities that enhanced our stay. Could not have been more perfect for us! It is definitely out of the way and private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
We loved our short weekend while we visited distilleries on the bourbon trail. The house was perfectly located inbetween the Bardstown distilleries and the ones in the Frankfort / Lexington area.
The house was fantastic, with everything we needed. Very clean, and easy to find, with all of the essentials to make us feel as home.
It was truly perfect. We were able to unplug for a few days. We hiked, kayaked, bourbon trailed & relaxed. Able to fit in quite a bit with the perfect location smack dab in the heart of Kentucky. Hosts were very accommodating, seamless check in and out, had all the comforts of home while away. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time visiting the Bourbon Trail and our VRBO house suited us great. There was a minor issue with the AC but our hosts did a great job trying to remedy the situation on short notice the best they could. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Exactly as advertised. Great location for the Bourbon Trail or just a getaway. The Host Judith was always available if necessary and very helpful. Everything necessary for a great stay including a very comfy bed. Loved the firepit (it was a chilly week) and the surroundings. Would recommend to anyone without hesitation. Great time.
We had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the small provisions that were supplied since we were not able to get to a grocery store the night we arrived. Hostess (Judith) was attentive, asking if we needed anything and if everything was going well.
The space is exactly as described! The property is an old vineyard and you get the opportunity to stay in what once was a tasting room! The sprawling views are gorgeous and you have the freedom to explore the 100 acres. Judith is extremely accommodating and communicative, and while our stay was unfortunately cut short for personal reason, it was still a fantastic experience, and one we'll be back for again and again!
Amazing property in the heart of bourbon country with fantastic host communication!
Great location less than 30 minutes from Bardstown and 65 minutes to SDF/Louisville Airport. Enjoyed two perfect nights with two girlfriends- comfortable beds, two large bathrooms and lovely porch/fire pit made this property a highlight of our trip!
Judith went above and beyond, and I hope to recommend this property to friends in the future if I don’t make it back soon myself.
This property was perfect for our trip and appointment with Makers Mark! 30 minutes from both Makers Mark and Bardstown. Literally on a Hundred Acre Wood! King sized memory foam bed was comfy. Nice patio for a campfire. EXTREMELY secluded. One lane road for about 2 miles. All at a very reasonable price. We would easily stay here again. Cheers!!
The property owner is very kind and accommodating. It was pouring when we arrived and she took our wet clothing to wash for us. The home is not equipped with a washer and dryer. The property was very neat and clean. We had food provisions available to us to use as well. Fresh fruit, bread, eggs soups, snacks, etc. The country side is beautiful to view. Our son is in a wheelchair and we were able to accommodate his needs. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay this is it. Thanks Judith we had a marvelous time.
The cottage itself was exactly as promised and a wonderful getaway. The bed was comfortable, linens were clean, and the kitchen was even stocked! You pass plenty of animals on your way in including bison!
Judith was easy to communicate with and even came to check on us as we were leaving one day to venture out.
The place is fairly centrally located to lots of distilleries and was a relaxing place to go after long days of exploring. The property is fairly easy to find down a winding one way road. We never encountered anyone to have to navigate a tricky passing situation, but it was a concern. I would recommend arriving during the daylight hours the first time to get a lay of the land. Even if a bit tricky, the drive is beautiful!
