My grandson and I really enjoyed our stay here. Each day we had fun with various local attractions and afterwards relaxing on the beautiful porch overlooking the valley and mountains. Morning rooster calls, donkeys braying and what sounded like baby goats welcomed our day. Would easily consider a stay in the future.
picked this spot bc of its proximity to the GC. ended up working great to see that with the fam. house itself was clean and matched the info / pics. views from the porch were amazing. walks we took down the road offered great views as well. was easy from here to continue our trip to utah.
We will be returning for another stay in this home. We enjoyed our stay so much. Easy communication with the owner, and the home had everything we needed. Just short of an hour drive to the Grand Canyon, close to Williams for food and groceries.
Very glad we stayed at Hillside Hideaway! The home was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and all the night stars. Our host was very attentive and we would definitely return. Highly recommend.
The house is adorable and in a great location if you crave some down time and privacy! The house is stocked and set up for you to feel at home. The views and breezes that blow through are refreshing. Would definitely book and stay here again! We may see you next summer with the grandkids in tow!
Short drive to Grand Canyon. Comfortable home. Awesome porch. Second shower would have been outstanding, yet manageable with just one for three people.
Great place off the beaten path but short drive into town
Cute and cozy house a few miles outside of the main town area. Very accessible for dinner or shopping and only about 45-55 minutes drive into Grand Canyon National Park. Clean and comfortable, with a great kitchen to cook in. Dirt roads to the house and a little bit of a steep driveway down to the house but it should be accessible for most cars. Host was responsive and easy to communicate with.
Our small group was 3 adults. Adult daughter enjoyed her space upstairs. House was simple and clean. Nighttime stars were gorgeous just couldn’t stay awake to enjoy since we hiked hard and were wiped out when we arrived back at night. Only 2 things that would have made it better, a hair dryer and access to a washer and drier. The drive is kind of long after being out all day but we knew that going into this trip. We enjoyed our time here and would choose it again and add an extra day to enjoy a rest day between hikes. Thank you Brian!
very limited water supply and a leaky water system
basically the listing didnt say there was a limit to how much water was on the property's reservoir so we woke up the first morning with no water, waited like 8-10 hours for a water refill, and then the next morning the same thing happened because a busted toilet downstairs was just draining it all so we had to cancel most of our plans for our stay

This is a perfect location for a visit to the south rim Grand Canyon. The location of the home is quiet except for the local rooster and donkey which we found charming. The large front porch is great for coffee and looking at the evening stars. There is only 2 wobbly wooden chairs and a small table on the porch so bring your own outdoor chairs if you can. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked for preparing your own meals. The master bedroom has a large walk in closet for your extra bags and luggage. Both beds are very comfortable and the ceiling fans helped keep the rooms cool at night. While there is only one shower, the bathroom was large enough for 2 to get ready at the same time (plus an upstairs bathroom). The living room is large with a nice TV. The dining room table and center island with chairs was great for meals. The only downside was the rough dirt road for about a mile before you arrive at the house. The drive is steep so be aware if you have a low profile vehicle and the time of year of your visit. We would stay here again.
We loved the view of this property! The sunsets were something we will never forget. Be warned - if you come during the snowy or rainy season, you will have trouble getting up the hill to this house. We were stuck on the hill for about 20 minutes before we eventually made our way up. If renting a car, just make sure to have 4 wheel drive. We also had a problem with the heat. The fireplace provides heat to the entire house. It is controlled by a thermostat...IF the fire is set to thermostat mode. When we got there it was under 50 degrees in the house so we turned the fire to 'on' not knowing it should have been turned to 'tstat'. Some directions under the thermostat would be helpful. The owner/manager was quick to provide help.
This was our last stop on our grand tour of the national parks and it did not disappoint. As we hoped, this property is located in beautiful and remote surroundings yet close to good amenities of buzzing Williams. The entrance to the South Rim is an hour away which is not too far to travel. Thanks for letting us share your lovely home - wish we were staying longer!
Perfect house for a great weekends getaway and trip to Williams and Grand Canyon…….located off the beaten path…..plenty of room for kids to roam around and explore during the day and star gaze at night!
