"Stunning little house with French imperial history. Received warmly by the lady at reception who suggested that I park my bike in the quad, even though the town of 2000 inhabitants is very safe. Lovely room, spotless, looks recently renovated. The town itself is also very charming and restaurants and shops are within very close walking distance."

"Beautiful hotel in peaceful, lovely area. Spacious, luxury room with great sized bathroom. We were also given room with large terrace/balcony overlooking beau gardens. Fantastic! Hotel gas upmarket, gourmet restaurant with adventurous menu options. Staff are great and very helpful. We felt thoroughly spoilt staying here."

"We stayed here for a couple of nights to break up a long drive back to northern England from Burgundy. We left wishing we had longer as the area is beautiful, clean, quiet and the same could be said for the accomodation. The hosts were very welcoming and despite the language barrier due to our poor French, they gave us some great recommendations for our stay. The local pizza was very welcome after our long drive and a day at Saint-Valery-sur-Somme watching Sea Lions likewise. Would definitely love to come back to explore more of the area in the future "

"Lovely big property and garden, great bedrooms and ideal for large group. Rural setting and seeing the animals was a bonus. Lovely host and would stay again. Enjoyed games room. An extra dishwasher would have been good. "

"Claudie is a very kind and friendly host, with a delightfully quaint and homely farmhouse. She welcomes you into her home and ensures that you have all you need to enjoy your stay. She prepares a lovely and typically French ‘Petit déjeuner’, each ´morning, which she joins you for, ensuring that she is available to offer advice about the local area and various attractions. We were there for a family event nearby, and found our stay to be very agreeable, with the farmhouse well situated only 15-20 minutes drive from Montreuil-sur-mer and very simple to find, being only 10-15 minutes off the main route from the port of Calais. "

"Fantastic hosts who were there to greet us on arrival and departure. The gite was well equipped and the garden was beautiful with lots of great games to keep the teenagers entertained! Plenty of great places to explore nearby too. We would thoroughly recommend La Bergerie for a relaxing break."
