"Our weeks stay at the Herdsman’s House a few kms from downtown Sligo was magical. The accommodations were as advertised, impeccably clean, spacious and cozy at the same time. Spectacular views of Sligo Bay and the surrounding farmland. Sheep and cows in pasture surround the Herdsman’s House. "I have visited Ireland over 40 times over the last 50 years. I have stayed at hotels, B&Bs, and have rented houses from Fanah Head to Mizen Head. This Ceim House in the Black Valley is the absolute best! The hostess/owner, Agnes, could not do more to make every second of our stay quite memorable. "What an absolute joyous experience! Colleen met us upon arrival and showed us around their wonderful place! It felt a bit like the Shire, really! Comfy little abodes and unusual structures. The yurt we stayed in was lovely and large. With wood heat we stayed very warm even on frosty nights! We had a camp fire and nice kitchen facilities. But the best part was all the critters!! "We had a fantastic time at Winchmore Hill House. We had 2 families and the house was the perfect size for our large group - not too small and not too big. The large group would usually congregate in the kitchen/dining area which worked great especailly w/ the easy access to the patio. We visited many towns on our daily tours but were glad that we picked Kenmare as our base as again it was the perfect Goldilocks fit small and quaint but still plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from."

"Great place to stay in Cork, very central & cost effective for self catering needs. Great for business or travellers. Would recommend."

"Nice hotel With lovely staff, but "luxury suites" we're lacking the luxury. Bed was large but there was a gap between even though was supposed to be a king bed and other side was really worn (sank in the middle where people have been sleeping). Not many tv channels but use of Netflix. I would definitely take a room at the hotel next time if coming back. Suite was spacious and had a fridge and a microwave so handy for someone with small children but you need to cross a road to get to the hotel....

"Room was tiny. No reception. We never saw anyone that worked for the hotel. This was especially a problem when some people staying at the hotel got locked out at 3am and spent half an hour banging on the door trying to get someone to let them in. "
