"Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have...

"This is a great single floor cottage with superb disabled access. The beds were comfy and linens/towels lovely. The kitchen sink was dirty when we arrived, and we had to wash some of the plates and cups. Otherwise it was spotlessly clean. Perfect for a trip to Galloway. Thank you"

"Very pleased with the size of the rooms . The lounge had enough seating for all of our party (11) and the large dining table was excellent. The bedrooms were roomy, including a couch as well as beds. The only downside was the 3 bathrooms were some distance away. A toilet at either end would have been more practical. The kitchen was rather small but well equipped."

"Clean property, in need of certain articles replacing, 3 piece suite (assured this will be done asap), 2 flights of stairs, difficult if mobility problems. Plenty of family games, well equipped kitchen, clean and tidy, beds comfortable, not sofa bed as advertised, but single foldaway bed, plus double and 2 singles, maybe extra hanging space in singles bedroom. Lovely area, plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes, art galleries, etc. Extra activities on each week during summer, plenty of walks...

"We had a most amazing week at the mid lodge. easy booking and communicating to arrange a cot and high chair for the baby. Very spacious, comfortable cottage! beautiful kitchen, Nice size fridge/freezer, excellent setup with beds and 3 en-suite toilets [2 with shower]. nice size dining table to seat all of us comfortably! "Very good, always the odd quirkiness but nothing to detract from the stay."

"The relatively remote location was good, with deer and hares visiting in the evenings. Somewhat disappointed that there were not more local walks to be made from the property. Altogether a lovely time at this well-equipped dwelling despite mixed weather."
