"The location was amazing, with some fantastic views and close to local attractions and vineyards! Due to an error with the Expedia booking information reaching the hotel we did receive an upgrade for free. The room itself was great, the outside and some some features needed some attention. "The room that was allocated to me the bed is sagged in the middle. Bathroom floor tiles look like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Exterior paint work is peeling off especially fascia eaves. Doorways are knocked around. Why I was allocated this particular room as it was for disabled persons when there was other rooms available. "We had a two bedroom villa which was very spacious and tidy, plenty of room for a group or family. The pool area is very dated and bar near pool was closed during the busy Christmas/ NY period which was disappointing. There is not enough staff which impacted service and don't bother calling reception from your room as it just rings out. We were in a villa close to the main area but if you happen to get a further one expect to be walking up and down hills. We had thought there was an adult only...

Peaceful retreat

"Very comfortable hotel with fantastic views over the Hunter Valley. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner in the bar area was excellent as was the singer/guitar player. Breakfast was the best yet in Australia and staff were wonderful."

"I travelled from QLD in November and forgot to factor in the time difference when planning our drive. I thought we'd be arriving about an hour before the office closed, but due to my error and some roadworks our ETA was 10 minutes after closing. I called the office and they were extremely kind about my mistake, and offered me multiple options for late check-in - including the person at the desk staying behind for a few minutes to meet me on arrival. It was very much appreciated!"

"Stayed in 204, the room was perfect for our 1 night stay, Only 2 suggestions would be to place a topper on the bed so its more cosy And have the loungeroom tv mounted to the wall so if you have the sofa lounge you can adjust the tv and remove the desk 10/10 score for everything from checkin to checkout"
