Spring Break Mountain Getaway
We stayed two nights on our way to Harrah’s Casino in Murphy. The cabin was very clean and the perfect spot close to attractions. The hot tub was a nice touch.

Perfect for us!
We arrived and were hoping for a clean well kept cabin and that's what we got! Bonus was the bed was super comfortable. I loved how they had everything we needed. My favorite part was probably that we were hid away amongst the trees and being able to sit on the rocking chairs was super relaxing.

Cozy Cabin
This cabin was a perfect get away for my husband and I! We received special instructions to find the property but it wasn’t too bad. We also loved that we could bring our two dogs with us.

Birthday Getaway
The cabin was just what we needed. We spent the days just wandering through the mountains and the nights snuggled on the porch and couch. We would definitely recommend the FOX DEN to our friends.

Fox Den is very welcoming. The decor is true to the cabins name. Loved the fireplace. We lacked nothing as the cabin was well stocked with all that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Would love to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the fox den. It was the perfect size for for us and had everything we needed for the long weekend. We enjoyed being able to hike during the day and go to the casino at night. We were easily able to get taxis to the casino and will definitely be back!

Relaxing getaway
We recently spent 4 nights in this cozy little cabin. It was very easy to find with the directions provided. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and dishes. We especially enjoyed the fireplace while watching movies and the hot tub at night under the stars. The rocking chairs are a wonderful place to have coffee in the morning. There are other cabins very close, but it was always peaceful. We will definitely stay at Fox Den Cabin again when we are in the area!

Great Cabin and Location
This was our second time staying here, we love the location. The cabin is the perfect size for a comfortable weekend away. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need, I end up cooking more here than I do at home. The Bedroom has been re-arranged since our last stay with the bed under one of the windows. The sun hitting your face makes it difficult to sleep in or take afternoon naps, which is what we enjoy on our weekends away without kids or pets. If the bed is staying in this spot, I would suggest black out curtains or a black out shade over that window.

Fall Getaway
We always look for a place to get away to the mountains in the fall but this year did not have as much time to get to places in Tennessee we love. We looked on VRBO and found this listing in NC and it was so cute and had plenty of room for the two of us. The cabin was very clean and the rocking chairs on the porch were amazing, the hot tub was as well. There were other cabins around it but no super clear views with the trees so it was still semi private and was super quiet. It was so nice listening to nature while gazing up at the stars from the hot tub. The only draw back at all was the comfortable memory foam matress was higher in the middle than each sleeping side so made you feel a little like you were rolling toward the edge of the bed but its only like that as the places people sleep are not in the middle of the bed. It was still much more comfortable than the new hotel we stayed in on the way there so I definitely would return again.

Muddy because of constant rain, Needed wi-fi get laptop connected for stock market play. Lost money by not being connected. Probably will not rent again because of no internet connection

Bad enough to make us leave 2 days early
Finding the property was a nightmare! Finally used Google maps which we were told would get us lost, and went right to it. We were on motorcycles, there needs to be a warning about the steep gravel roads. Animal feces all around the place, stepped in it several times in the dark The smell was horrible. Shower drain was stopped up and would barely drain. Roaches. The hot tub had scum all over the sides and on the filter as well as floating on the water. Definitely will not be back and hate I wasted that much money on a place that looked much bigger in the pictures and wasn't cleaned properly before our arrival

I Was Confused
We love this property and we love this area, but this was a confusing stay for us. I want to go on vacation and not worry about every small detail of the stay. There are incredibly specific instructions for your stay. You will be charged $35 for every trash bag (exceeding one 12 gallon trash bag) and must take your own trash. There is a $35 charge if there are open liquid containers in the trash bag. You have to strip all of the beds of their linens, purchase your own paper products, clean all the dishes, gather all the towels, set all the thermostats, lock all the doors, lock all the windows, and haul away any excess trash or you will be charged $35 an hour for cleaning after your stay. The price of damaging the hot tub and hot tub cover is listed in the guestbook. There was a note on the door about a previous guest who did not follow these rules and subsequently damaged the door and the curtains (which I am sure they had to pay for). We really loved the cabin. We really, really love the area (Cherokee is incredible)! But I felt like I was staying in some distant relatives cabin where they want you there, but you better not mess anything up! It was confusing and there was pressure to keep everything perfect. If your cabin is professionally cleaned (which they state in the guest book it is) than why am I responsible to get it ready for cleaning? At the end of the day it was not a bad stay. It really was nice, but you have to deal with the pressure of keeping things perfect. That can put a damper on any vacation, and that's why the stay was a little confusing for us.

This cabin was fabulous. Perfect for just the 2 of us. The cabin was so clean and the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable. I wish the bedroom had room darkening shades but thats only because the sun is up so early this time of year. Otherwise we had a perfect time. We'll definitely be back
