"Lovely stay at the bungalow. Three friends on a singing weekend nearby. It was very well equipped, clean and peaceful. A drainer rack for the sink would be useful and the mattresses were a little ‘tired’. Nevertheless it was great for us and we would stay there again."

There is a lovely place to sit outside with amazing views. Hay-on-Wye is literally an 8 minute drive away and lives up to its name of a bookish town. "A lovely little cottage that had everything you need. We stayed with our two young children. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it, but we have two areas that weren't perfect. Getting the boiler just right took a while. There wasnt enough hot water on our first night, so the kids ended up with a tepid bath and theln in trying to sort that out we set the boiler to come on early in the morning so we could have hot showers - the boiler is noisy and so woke us up very early. "Beautiful and comfortable cottage with the sound of a running river at the bottom of the garden. Quite isolated - down a few miles of very narrow twisty turny roads but very peaceful. Kids will love the little play gypsy caravan in the garden."

"A lovely stay at Bucknell Station Cottage, just perfect for us (2 adults and 2 children). The kids loved staying in their room together and the wooden train set was a nice touch, going well with looking out the window as the big trains rolled past! Very well located for day trips in and around Shropshire as well as over the nearby border in to lovely Wales. Home made flapjacks greeting us on arrival were very well received! "There was very good communication with Sue, the owner, throughout the process. The cottage is exactly as described on the website. It is located in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, which has a fantastic selection of shops and eateries. The cottage was very comfortable for our party of three adults and a dog. It is well equipped and has the benefit of a small courtyard garden, which is a real sun trap. We particularly liked the fact that there were a number of walks from the cottage, so we didn't need...
