"The room was clean except the toilet seat had sticky stuff on it. It did wash off fine. It was bare bones but worth the cost. It did have a small microwave, mini frig and newer type TV. It was a bit drafty and in the morning I could see light coming from around the door. But the heater kept the room warm. All in all for the price I paid per night was worth it. I would recommend it to someone just looking for a bed and no frills. "

"Enroute to the motel, I took a look at some prior reviews and got real nervous. Luckily, I found them to be very misleading (false even.) Cons - Entering the room (#1) it smelled like cigarettes. The southwest corner of the ceiling looked like it could fall in. The shower is very small. The commode space is even smaller. There was no soap provided. "House was perfect for our needs -- a long parents weekend visit to Colgate. Not exactly Colgate adjacent, but convenient to the airport, Syracuse and right on Lake Oneida and 30 min to Colgate. Just down the road from Verona Beach State Park and it's possible to keep walking to Sylvan Beach -- and with perfect fall weather it was an amazing walk. House was great to cook in and made for a fine remote work location. I only wish we'd made better use of the she shed /man cave b/c it is an awesome...
