"For us this was a convenient hotel to stay in as we were going to a basketball game at the FedEx Forum (about a 10 minute walk), Beale Street (about a 10 minute walk) and downtown (about a 15 minute walk straight down Union Street). There was plenty of well-lit secure parking. Check in was quick and the staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast was good with quite a few choices. Nothing too fancy but filling! Our room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Good shower. No in-room safe. There was construction on the outside of the hotel; however, during our stay there was no construction noise and it did not inconvenience us in any way other than having to walk around some Genie lifts in the parking lot. The area seemed safe during the day although we stayed to the main streets. We did walk to the basketball game and Beale Street in the evening (not too late) and there was a police presence keeping an eye on the crowds. On a weekday evening near the end of October, it was quiet in this area. "
