So I rolled in here on Friday February 2nd for a skiing weekend at Cape Smokey, and was due to check out Sunday morning February 4th...but after 120 cm of snow over the weekend, I didn't get out until February 6th. "We visited over a wet and windy Thanksgiving weekend. The property offers glamping facilities in fascinating white dome tents with your own bathroom, shower and mini kitchen - plus heating. "Great stay for husband and I and our dog. Quiet, peaceful. Cottages are dated but clean. Queen mattress was wonderful. Did not givev 5 stars because hot water knob in shower was barely useable, ready to fall off. Kitchen faucet also flimsy. Floorboards are soft. "The house was perfect for us. Way out in the middle of nowhere, quiet and secluded. The house was clean and and lots of room for the kids to run around. There is a wonderful trail that leads out to a cliff Lookout. The house is owned by a nearby (12 km away) wilderness resort. "Cathy and Uli have worked hard to add charm and comfort to Maggie's rustic farmhouse from a bygone era. It was a wonderful time to be there. So peaceful, set back from the road and surrounded by the beautiful Fall colours. Very nice to sit by the fire burning in the wood stove and enjoy one of the many interesting local history books. "
