Loved our stay for whitby goth weekend, the cottage had everything we could have wanted, loads of room and home comforts! Very central, everywhere was walkable so we were able to just park the car up (with the tickets provided by the host) and leave it for the weekend. Also loads of info available in the guest book too. Overall had a wonderful time here.
We loved the location and layout of the Rainbow Cottage while in Whitby.
Everything was so convenient and walkable. Just a perfect neighborhood and on a narrow street which kept things a little quieter. IT was perfect for our family of 4
Excellent location (although parking nearby tricky at busy times) and a very comfortable place to stay. Lots of stairs, making it more suitable for a family with older children like ours.
Thank you for a lovely weekend.
The location of the property was fantastic and all amenities that we needed for both adults and children were catered for.
Thanks again
Our third time staying here and loved it as usual. Sadly don't think we'll be able to as the only downside is there's a lot of stairs and my asking father sadly couldn't manage them very well this year. But for the physically okay it's a nice place in a great location

Fantastic location, within walking distance to everything. The host was great at communicating
Very roomy.

Smoke smell was dreadful, although this is a smoke free property, someone had clearly been smoking there, we slept with all windows open and as soon as they were closed the smell was as strong as ever. It also has the smallest shower ever
This is the second time we have stayed at Rainbow Cottage and it won’t be the last! The accommodation is perfect for us, so close to the centre, close to all amenities and plenty of space. Fantastic bedrooms with a view of the abbey, which was even more lovely dive it was lit up while we were there!
Simon is always really responsive to messages and welcoming. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we come to Whitby. Thanks again!
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at rainbow cottage while in Whitby for a wedding. Lots of space over 3 floors and really centrally located. Simon was an excellent host and very understanding when I left the key in a taxi. Thankfully it all worked out and we made it to the wedding on time! Highly recommend this cute cottage for anyone staying in Whitby.
Lovely, clean and comfortable property. Everything you need for a self- contained holiday. Our host thought of everything - tea bags, ketchup etc etc Located in the vwry centre of Whitby - we walked everywhere. Left the car parked up! Brilliant time - would definitely recommend
Overall good location. Very peaceful and quiet especially at night. The settee although fairly comfortable, was very close to the ground and difficult to get up from.
Everywhere was clean. The kitchen was very well equipped although there was only 4 teaspoons
The cottage is in a great situation in the center if Whitby.and very quaint. However I feel it should be more obviously stated that there are 3 flights of steep stairs. Two of our party struggled, we are all older people. Also the shower is very small.party is 6'4" and 19 stone and couldnt get into it.
