The house is in a secluded location only ten minutes walk to Whitby town centre through or around the beautiful Pannett Park. Close to the famous Cinder Track coastal walking and cycling route. The house offers beautiful scenic views and easy access to the coast and North York Moors National Park.

We aim to give you a great experience whilst following current health guidelines set by government and the hospitality sector. Housekeeping crew are now following new procedure to minimise coronavirus risks to guests and themselves and to play their part in stopping the spread. We kindly ask guests to support our efforts. How this will affect you
Bed linens and towels We kindly ask guests to strip beds and put used linen and towels into bags before departure. Housekeeping will leave bags in the bedrooms prior to your check-in. Why? Bed linen and towels have been identified as a high risk vector for virus transmission. Used laundry will remain in bags for three days before being handled to reduce the risk to our housekeepers and the staff working at our linen supplier.
High-risk items Some high-risk items have been removed such as cushions and throws from the bedrooms as well as books and some games and toys, meaning the house will be presented slightly differently to normal.
Times for check-in and check-out Check-in time is now from 18:00, but in many cases we will be able to offer check-in from 15:00. Check-out time is now before 10:00 but in many cases we will be able to offer check-out until 11:00. Parking will remain available from 15:00 on day of arrival regardless of check-in time. We always aim to deliver preferable times to you when this is possible. Why? Housekeeping crew need to allow time to ventilate the house and complete sanitising tasks between guest departures and arrivals.

This lovely property was perfect for 3 families to come together and enjoy a couple of days together - 10 mins walk max into Whitby which worked out well for us
The house is huge and in a great location for walking access into town, just under half a mile away. The kitchen is fantastic and found ourselves congregating there mostly. I had frequent contact with the owner and he always responded quickly. The whole family had a great weekend for my mother in laws 80th birthday and were that impressed they want to do the same later in the year.
I must agree with most of the other reviews. The house is lovely and great for a large family holiday. Richard was very helpful, all queries were answered promptly. The location is excellent, easy walking to town and the harbour but we did tend to drive to the beach where there is plenty of parking.
My only reservation is the maintenance of the outside of the property. There is a steep slope up to the property from the ample car parking space, which is fine, if a little challenging for the older members of our group, but the steps are very badly maintained and some are broken and dangerous. If these could be repaired and made safer then it would be a 5 star review rather than the 4 that I have given it.
Gorgeous house, ideal location, clean well laid out, well furnished with everything you could possibly need to to make your stay perfect. Good communication with host & housekeeper.
All our group were very pleased with the accommodation and location for the two night stay.
Rooms and showers were excellent, cooking facilities were plentiful and top quality.

As nenhh the ironed previously the house is at the top of quite a steep drive but was no problem for our group

Very nice and clean outdoor area could do with a bit of a spruce up also the bannister was loose on the balcony which is dangerous. All the rest are f the house was lovely and extremely clean and comfortable
We had the most glorious time . The house is fabulous . All the amenities are first class . It is spotless and has such a welcoming feeling . There is also so much parking , a real gem in Whitby . Above all else the owner Richard and Debra were amazing . Debra was so so helpful . We will definitely be back .

Outside driveway and garden definitely needs some work but didn’t spoil our break. Maybe also some more info in the property on rubbish collection, local area etc
The house is very clean, well equipped and spacious. I liked the little extras in the house that made all the difference, e.g shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms, seasoning, dishwasher tablets etc in the kitchen, plenty of towels for each person.
The location was good, short walk to the centre and plenty of parking for cars.
The host was easy to contact and answered all queries quickly.
The only negatives are the outside space, some garden maintenance needed and the path up to the house needs sorting out as it’s uneven and very difficult to walk on.

The loss of the fifth star is due to the steep and dangerous drive on which several of us slipped, whilst walking down. Also the dispersal by seagulls of the contents of bins at the base of the drive which were overflowing from the previous tenants and which occurred overnight and which was cleaned up by us both mornings.
The house is very big and extremely clean
Don’t be fooled by the pictures though, theres no back garden in the property,the picture of the outside seating is in the front driveway and over looked by council housing.
The front garden is a total mess, Iv never seen one as bad, that’s actually rented out.
We own around 50 rental properties ourselves Plus 2 in Orlando until recently So we know a thing or two about property.This property has been done to a very high standard Lovely big kitchen with beautiful bathrooms and lots of space! Close to Whitby centre and dog friendly too!

The property was amazing! Perfect for what we wanted, Richard was fantastic to contact and answered all our questions quickly. The house is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Whitby. The property is located on a steep hill which was an issue for some of our older guests however care was taken and we only left and returned when we needed to. If anyone struggles with their walking it may not be ideal but we found it perfect and would definitely return in the future.
We had a lovely stay during our family trip to Whitby. Richard was brilliant with communication and made the whole booking and check in process stress free. The house was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. A beautiful house with lots of character and very tastefully decorated - would love to come again! Thank you for our stay!
We booked to stay as a group of 12 thirty year olds and 3 dogs for New Year’s Eve. The house was wonderful, in a perfect location to Whitby centre. A lovely view. The owner rang me to check all was ok. The house was fabulous and everyone was so impressed. We will deffo recommend to our friends. Thank you so much!
We were at a party of eight people with ages ranging from 14 to 86. The house itself was very clean, warm and inviting on our arrival. However we were disappointed about the access to the house from the car parking area. The house is situated on a very steep incline with rough steps providing the access to the front door. Our family member who is 86 found it extremely difficult to go up the large number of steps. There are no photographs of the house available on the Homeaway website prior to booking and when I asked if the owner could send me one he said that he couldn’t make any available due to security reasons. Nor is any written information provided about the access to the house either before booking or after booking. It is such a shame that we weren’t notified in advance about this as we feel that the current access lets the house down. Perhaps the owner could provide photographs and information about the access prior to booking and install a handrail up the steps to help people with mobility issues.
Lovely big property. Amazing bathrooms. Lots of parking too. Definitely one of the best places to stay in Whitby if there is a large group, with dogs and babies!
