The town centre is literally 20 yards from the property where you can find a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops, and also where you can buy the famous Whitby Jet jewellery and find 3 miles of golden sandy beach. Clean, Compact but ideal central location.
Clean, Compact but ideal central location. Be better if parking permit covered entire stay (we were staying for a week but only had a 4 day permit and couldn't get hold of agents to sort this out) Otherwise a great stay! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Great little cottage.
Great little cottage. The only complaint I would have, is there is no Wi-Fi. There is a modem that tells your devices that it is connected but doesn’t work. Cottage is in a great location with a wonderful diner almost right outside the door and a pizza shop if you fancy a takeaway Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Initial problem with the parking permit which did cause the first night to be quite stressful but was rectified the next day. Not enough toilet roll, and no cleaner so had to buy some. Apart from that the cottage was very comfortable and the location perfect. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage is central and a good location.
The cottage is central and a good location. It was equipped well and spotlessly clean throughout. The only negatives as far as I am concerned , the frontage was scruffy and the alley way could do with a good scrub. The post box was stuffed full of brochures and covered in cobwebs, there was debris of the demise of a sea gull all over the front and there was lavender bushes sprouting from the floor and a small fir tree in a pot by the front door had seen better days. The only views was a dirty wall opposite or rooftops from the bedroom. I would have liked some outside space which this cottage does not have . A couple of other cottages in the row were even scruffier on the outside which let the row down. The bed was very comfortable however and it was very well designed inside to make use of the space available. If a window box of flowers (begonias and petunias are hardy), were put in and the space in front kept clean and perhaps a small bench provided it would improve things somewhat.

Friendhip Cottage was excellent.
Friendhip Cottage was excellent. I marked the location down as I am in my 70's and found the hills rather challenging. Otherwise brilliant.

Space is in short supply in Whitby, so the olden cottages( strictly speaking terraced dwellings) , had to be fitted in as and where they could. So this is a terraced house down an alley, with three floors . So you are staying in history, albeit with all mod cons . The friendship cottage is named after a sailing ship, whose name is kept in the local rowing club across the river. And two oars from a rowboat are used as the handrails on each flight! It is ten minutes walk from anywhere, but parking is tricky.

Great location, sitting room/kitchen rather dark and small but bedrooms bright and comfortable. Internet connection very hit and miss and weekend parking was a nightmare. Overall though it was in an extremely good location and great for a couple.

Friendship cottage had everything we needed.
Friendship cottage had everything we needed. It is in a great location! The beds and Ben linen where very comfy and the cottage was clean. The parking was fine for us we found a parking spot using the permit but it was a 5 min walk away but we knew this when we booked it so it was ok. We would stay here again
