Built back in 1660, the property offers luxury accommodation twinned with beautiful original features as well as characterful beamed ceilings. Boasting your own peaceful outside space, with a summer house, a brick built BBQ with outdoor seating, perfect for sitting out in the sunshine enjoying a glass of something special – perhaps the popular Whitby gin or locally brewed beer. Stepping inside, you are welcomed into the beautifully presented and well-equipped kitchen, which is open plan with the dining area. All of the internal doors are oak, with oak flooring in the living room and a cosy wood burner set in an antique oak surround. Ensuring you have some fabulous movie nights, you have a sound bar with sub woofer for the smart TV. Upstairs on the first floor, you have two double bedrooms both with Barker and Stonehouse mahogany sleigh beds, bedside drawers, built in wardrobes for your belongings, as well as their own wall-mounted TVs. There is also the beautiful family bathroom on this floor, with a shower over the bath. Up on the top floor beneath exposed beams you have the twin bedroom, again with mahogany sleigh beds, as well as a hanging rail under the eaves. Each room has been lovingly furnished with your comfort in mind, with local artwork adorning the walls.
Venture out into the wonderful streets of this Gothic town made famous by Bram Stokers novel ’Dracula’. Take a walk in the old part of town, dating back to the 1700s, and explore the cobbled streets, or walk up the famous 199 steps to the church of St. Marys for an amazing view over the town. Take a boat trip out to sea for a unique view of the Yorkshire Heritage Coast, or hop on top of the open top bus which makes regular tours of the town. Venture further afield to seek out some of the beautiful villages, coves and bays that are dotted along the coast. Take a step back in time to the days of pirates and smuggling hidden gems at places such as Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes.
Head inland to admire the natural beauty of the North York Moors National Park, with mile upon mile of nature trails and walks such as the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way. Visit stunning waterfalls such as Falling Foss, or even take a ride on the steam train which ventures into ’Heartbeat’ country and the quaint village of Goathland. There are a variety of attractions in the area from wartime museum at Eden Camp to roller coasters at Flamingo Land. Train, Bus and Taxi Rank 400yds away. Beach ½ mile.
