This was a perfect ski-in, ski-out lodging option! The unit itself could use some maintenance (sink faucet leaking, broken lights, loose shower faucet, TV didn't work, etc), but the location outweighs those minor items. I'd stay here again!
Worked great for our first time short trip to Whistler-Blackcomb. It has everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, good kitchen, and good shower. Easy check in, and plenty of parking (paid) in the underground garage. Valet service for skies was convenient. Pool, hot tub and gym were easily accessible and good.
Far overpriced and not at all as advertised. Dirty floors and carpets, mickey mouse portable AC units, chipped and deep scratches everywhere , appliances old, toilet seat loose. etc. etc. We have been going to Whistler for many years and never been so disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone.
Lots of wear and tear. Carpets in poor condition. Walls and furniture damaged. Three a/c units, two actually hooked up. If both were on, the breaker would trip. Only one could be used at a time. Pool and hot tub were nice, very busy. The unit has potential, upgrades needed badly….
We've stayed at several different units at the Aspens over the years. This one desperately needs an update. We had to work with the property manager and maintenance to get the fireplace working - the fast resolution was appreciated however it should have been fixed before our stay. The carpet is ripped in the living room and bedroom, and the lighting was down to one light in the bathroom. The kitchen faucet leaked and the tile was broken. There were 3 large AC units which took up space we could have used. We love the Aspens and won't stay in this unit again.
The AC unit was unusable when we checked in. The vent tube was in 2 sections on the floor.
Also the tile on the kitchen floor was cracked and loose. The dishwasher was not mounted in properly and kept falling forward every time you opened it.
The carpet in the unit had multiple burn marks and was full of crumbs everywhere. the unit was never vacuumed. the plastic pulls on the blinds were broken and there were multiple bulbs burnt out. There was an ashtray full of cigarettes on the floor on the balcony.
Who ever cleans these units, doesn’t do a very good job.
We are frequent visitors to Whistler and the Aspens is our go-to spot. We've stayed in many units over the years, including both renovated and unrenovated ones. I don't mind a dated look and old appliances, but this unit desperately needs some TLC and it doesn't seem like the owner cares about the guest experience.
Yes, the carpet is torn, but it was all the little things that could be fixed with a quick visit by a handyman or an order from Amazon that were especially annoying. The issues included:
- Missing ceiling light over the fireplace
- A very poorly lit bathroom (just one very dim bulb)
- Wrong size comforter on the bed (queen comforter on king bed)
- Bed made with flat sheets rather than fitted sheets, which made them wrinkle easily and come untucked.
- Missing splash guard in the kitchen sink, which caused pieces of food to fly when the disposer was on and could have been dangerous if something accidentally fell in while the disposer was operating.
- Missing stopper in the bathroom sink
- Random stuff, like portable A/C units that lacked a proper hook-up and a broken fan covered in dust.
- The kitchen lacked some real basics - there were no measuring cups, measuring spoons, collander, kitchen utensils (serving spoon, spatula, etc.). We didn't do any major cooking, but even preparing a simple pasta dinner or oatmeal for breakfast required some creativity.
Aspens units are generally very reliable, but this is one that I would not rush to stay in again.
Stayed at the Aspen's 3 times now. Perfect location for skiing and close to Village. The condo has all the amenities you need although carpet is getting worn/outdated but all in all a perfect stay

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Nice room with lots of the required kitchen utensils. Great ski out/in location traded off with a not too difficult walk to get to the main village.
Hotel amenities were great.
This unit was lacking in many ways, needs a reno..
To start off with, if you have any plans to cook or serve drinks during your stay, bring your own glasses and prep items. There are next to no glasses, there was 2 highball glasses, 1 small plastic glass and 4 wine glasses. We had to go buy our own glasses. Also, no spatula to cook eggs or pancakes.
The AC unit was unusable when we checked in. The vent tube was in 2 sections on the floor, after propping the unit up I was able to MacGyver it to somewhat vent out the window, only prob was the hot air was blowing back into the room.
Also the tile on the kitchen floor was cracked and loose. The dishwasher was not mounted in properly and kept falling forward every time you opened it.
The carpet in the unit had multiple burn marks, the plastic pulls on the blinds were broken and there were multiple bulbs burnt out.
And the piece de resistance, beside one of the chairs by the sofa was a used band aid. Who ever cleans these units, doesn’t do a very good job.
The unit and facilities fit all our needs. The unit was clean and comfortable and quiet (despite facing the street). The location was ideal for ski-in-ski-out. Easy shuttle to the main village. Dropping off skis with the valet was convenient (but long lines made it slow to get skis in the morning).
The only downsides: the blinds even when closed let in a bit of light from the street-side; the dishwasher did not drain; the bathroom sink drained slowly. But these were the only issues we had. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.
Condo was perfect for us two. We had a car and were really happy that we did because it was raining or snowing every night so driving to Whistler village for dinner was the best option. Parking was easy over there. The grocery store has parking that costs a few bucks and is free after 7pm.
The Aspen is a true ski in- ski out (which is what we came here to do). There is a ski rental place in the building with some basic gear for purchase.
Looking for a nice restaurant, go to Araxi! 21 Steps was great, too.
Overall, the place worked out perfectly and we were very happy we chose it!
We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at The Aspens property in whistler. We have stayed many time at different locations and this one was the most convenient for our stay. Clean and easy to access for check in and check out!

Excellent spot
Convenient with easy ski-in, ski-out access to the lifts, pleasant 10 minute walk to the main village. Clean apartment and our host was very easy to work with.

Nice, but overlooks main entrance
Clean and nicely setup, everything functional. Generous supply of towels was a plus, as was proximity to the main elevators. Brightly lit trees at front of the complex made the bedroom not quite dark at night, and late night guest arrivals were easily audible (car doors, people talking) below, so it wasn't the most conducive to sleep.
