"The house had a homey feel, and we really enjoyed the lakefront property. The highlights for us were the screen porch and the fishing (kids caught bass and crappie every day). The kitchen is small but was still sufficient for our family; however, the stovetop burners didn’t heat very well and the pots/pans were subpar. Overall, we had a good trip and enjoyed our stay; the only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because it wasn’t as clean as we expected (dog hair and dust on the wood floors)."

"We enjoyed our weekend stay. The unit was decorated very cute and the kitchen was well stocked. We went down to the dock to fish. It is beautiful and very peaceful. The owner was very nice and invited us to use the grill on her deck. I highly recommend this rental. "

"This was just what I needed!! A couple of days out in nature with my dog. It's a lovely place! Very quiet and peaceful! The only thing I used my phone for was to take pictures. I had one day with beautiful snow and the next it was 60 degrees. It was a little strange they didn't have a microwave but they provide everything else you would need to cook your meals. "

"Darnel did an excellent job with communication and answered every question quickly by text or call. Truly above and beyond. Our stay was adventurous and relaxing. A very nice getaway from KC. Our trucks were able to reach the property easy and I would recommend a truck or SUV. The locals in the area were kind and quiet. It was enjoyable to have a fire in the pit and there was plenty of wood around to use, with several fallen trees close by. The a-frame itself was cozy and peaceful. It got cold, but the propane heater worked well. As expected in the winter time. It was furnished with basic essentials and has a propane camp stove, as well as an outdoor grill and generator (if needed.) We saw deer, owls, eagles and heard some coyotes in the distance. With there being no wind, and few leaves, you could hear pure quiet/nothing as dusk vanished into the night. I’ve only experienced that at Wilson Lake. Well, as you can tell by this extensive post, we loved it. Thanks again Darnel and happy new year."
