"We really enjoyed our stay, comfy and cozy. Just a few spills on the floor in the kitchen that weren't cleaned up and no gas in the bbq left (maybe we should have brought our own?) but other than that, no problem we had a really nice time "

My friend and I stayed here for Hidden Valley and had the best time partying, exploring Matakana and spending time in this wonderful private haven. "The property is exactly as shown in photos not a lot of room outside for the dog but it has a small fenced area so ok for little dogs. Very close to other houses but is quiet will need the car to get supplies. Surprised only one tv but loads of games for kids. Nice beds but a little hard. For the price it’s very expensive as just stayed at Waiheke and got a heated swimming pool and spa included for almost the same price Matakana is expensive and no beach views or country outlook. "The abbey is lovely to stay at and is an easy walk to the beach. It is all set up to make the stay enjoyable and relaxing. "

Could have done with two more fans so every room has one on these humid summer nights. Would be helpful to specify the cot is a portacot, not a full, solid cot. "Perfect for the group family stay with enough to slightly seperate the individual sleeping areas but bring us together in the socialising areas. Beach was a blink away, outdoor areas covered for rain and sun. All cooking condiments ( and coffee) available for a few days use."

"Amazing location! The beach is almost at your doorstep. This made it very easy to hop on our paddle boards many times a day. Shallow waters and the lovely sand bars were perfect for toddlers and kids. The spa was a slight let down. Likely not much use, not easy to access and not clean. Thankfully the ocean was amazing and we had great weather!"

"Could not have had a better property or location. The whole experience was first class, the property was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a great stay. The bed/bedroom/en suite was superb. The living area/balcony provided a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views of the golf course and allowed full appreciation of the outdoors.
