"The unit was well furnished and modern, the built-in stuff were great, but the pots, pans and fan wasn't so great. It was fully usable but it had broken handles etc. The management was also very strict, we asked for an additional set of keys and they were initially reluctant to provide one and after that quoted us first R1000, then R500 deposit. It just felt like it was overly strict, rigid and lacking a bit of that human touch which Jo'burg is famous for. Overall still a great place to stay...

"The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is available The access is safe and secure and it was easy to find. The communication with the host was impeccable and fast from booking all the way till we checked out. He gave us lots of tips and information on the area. "It's been ten years since we last stayed at The Westcliff, it is such a beautiful hotel with great service. Our suite was roomy and well-kept. Valentine's Dinner was a disappointment as service was extremely slow but overall we enjoyed our stay."

Lovely Hotel (highly recommend) -waiters need help

"Beautiful hotel, lovely spacious room and great food. Stunning view of the golf course. My recommendations is to go to the Suites. Only downfall was the waiters at the restaurant- too busy that they forget that they have a client (experienced this during dinner and breakfast). "

"Southern Sun Rosebank is in a convenient location, close to the city and just around the corner from Rosebank Mall. The staff advised against walking for security reasons, but it’s easy to get around with Uber or the hotel’s shuttle service to the mall. There is plenty of parking on-site, and the parking price is affordable. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, and the food at The Grill restaurant was also very good. Overall, I had a good stay and it’s a hotel I would recommend."
