We were an Unexpected visit
Check-in: We want to star saying that when we arrived at the location the instructions provided by VACASA were incorrect. They provided a code to open the door and the door required a key to open.
We called and texted the point of contact provided by VACASA and the property manager was not responding. After 30 minutes calling and waiting, a young man from the house next door approached us. He was the son of the manager. We explained to him the situation and he called his father, and he responded. We talked to MrShariff, he stated he never received the reservation from VACASA. We provided the reservation number. After more than half hour again he called back saying he verified the information and that someone will provide the key of the house. Total time waiting: 1:15 hours. A lady from the house next door came over but she didn’t want us to go inside until she checked the house. After 10 minutes the lady gave the key and we were able to go inside.
Cleanliness: For the most part the house was clean. At the entrance, on the grass there were multiple garbage bags full of plastics bottles. In The master room bed the bed pillows were piled up in the chair. Trying to figure out how to open the sofa bed we saw dirt and pieces of food under the sofa, like pretzels and others.
Furniture: Sofa bed not opening, texted manager and he responded the following day after 5 pm, “ Yes it’s working just block in.”??
The smell of marijuana from the house next or below was overwhelming.
