We had a fabulous week at the CT shore! The weather was in the 70’s and sunny, with a variety of beach options to choose from.
We started at the local beach (right down the road from the house). Quaint community, calm and refreshing water. Would highly recommend water shoes, lots of rocks and it is slippery upon entry and exiting!
We joined friends locally in Niantic and boated on the bay. Found a nice inlet on the river and swam and watched folks cliff dive.
We also spent time at Hammonasset Beach State Park. Clean, beautiful, and only 15 minutes from the house. A good place to pack a lunch and soak in the sand and view.
Outside of beaching, we used the backyard to play Ax throwing, corn hole, and appreciate the fire pit. The deck was also comfortable and included an overhang to cool things off. The community was easily walkable for exercise.
Food selections were diverse. The ice cream at Lenny and Joe’s was very impressive. As were the selections at Clinton from a shopping perspective.
We even divided and conquered while playing Mini Golf at Saybrook Point Inn and enjoying massage sessions at Waters Edge!
Heather was a fantastic host, always checking in to see if we needed anything. Her house is beautiful and very well maintained. Lots of extras (beach chairs, corn hole set)!
P.S. The basketball game downstairs was a fantastic bonus!
