Spacious Vacation Home in Gorgeous Location, 5 Min from Park

Located five miles west of scenic Yellowstone National Park, this vacation house has all the comforts of home and is set in a gorgeous location. Come and enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, site seeing, or just plain relaxing!
The house is located at 35 Mooseberry Rd. Five miles west of West Yellowstone on Highway 20. It is within 1/2 mile of the groomed trail systems. The house is 2200 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Sleeps 12 comfortably. It is a log home and is ranch style. The sauna is indoors. There is a laundry room with washer and driers. This house has all the comforts of home. The large living room has a wood burning fireplace. The open floor plan accommodates large groups. The house is completely furnished including bedding and bath towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with a microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker as well as plenty of pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishware and silverware. There is a one stall garage for minor sled repairs and there is ample parking for pickups and trailers. The house also has a ring doorbell for yours and my security.

Amazing property just outside of West Yellowstone
Had a great stay at this property. There was ample space and rooms. The beds were all really comfortable, which was clutch after all the driving and hiking around the national park. The dry sauna was an extra level of comfort for us at the end of the day. Would definitely stay there again when we get back to Yellowstone.

Our family had a great stay at this property. My husband is on oxygen and he and the grandchildren were able to sleep in the third day to rest and he could keep his legs up while the rest of us visited Yellowstone. We had wifi but it wasn't always strong enough. But there were plenty DVD movies to watch instead. There was also horseback riding nearby and my daughter and children and son loved it!

Awesome!
We had the best time here.There were many touches here that reminded me of my youth(shag carpets,a macrame wall hanging)-but the house had all the amenities we needed and more.It was clean and spacious.We'd definitely stay here again!

Great home base spot to explore Yellowstone
We stayed at the cabin with our 7 kids. We live nearby in eastern Idaho but wanted to have a place to stay closer to the park so we could easily see more of Yellowstone over our 4 day trip.The house was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Only 5 minutes from the heart of West Yellowstone and the West entrance to Yellowstone NP. We explored the park all day and came back and relaxed. Several restaurants provided easy meals out and the kitchen was well stocked for nights we cooked in. We enjoyed movies together at the end of the day. Check in and check out was seamless. We will definitely be coming back here next time we come to Yellowstone for a multi day visit!

Awesome stay
The house is old, but very clean and has many beds. The kitchen is well equipped with many spices, storage boxes, utensils.. some of them are old, but they help our cooking while staying there easier. They also provided soap, sponge, detergent powder.. We feel like we are at home. The wifi only has connection in the main living room, no connection in the other rooms; hope they will upgrade about that. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

Great place but be aware of potential fee
The home is very spacious, clean, and in a good area and close proximity to the West Yellowstone park entrance. I liked that the property manager was quick to respond to questions. The only issue I had was that the property manager assumed I had more than the allowed guests based off looking at the ring camera and neighbors telling him which prompted him to then qcharge me a fee and send me notice of violation. When I tried to explain to him that I had family visiting but not staying the night and had proof of this he was dismissive and did not appear willing to hear my explanation and he was firm on keeping the fee because that’s what he saw on the camera. It was not until I brought up that prior reviews on this property say that this happened to them too that he changed his response and withdrew the fee. I say all of this for anyone planning on staying at this property to be aware that this appears to happen often based on prior review and my experiences as well. Again, this is a great place to stay but I just thought that the property manager just assuming and not clarifying first and then being dismissive was unfair and uncomfortable.

avg vacation home within 5 miles of park entrance
The house is spacious and in avg condition. All appliances, utensils, towels, decoration, etc. are from Thrift store (no cohesiveness - all dump). My biggest quam is that there is no TV or WiFi (the owner need to get satellite). How can you stay in this place when you don't have connection to world. The wireless connection is also not good in the area. The DVD collection is very old so you can't stay home and entertain yourself. It is like Motel 6 of VRBO - spend good night sleep and run!!

Great stay!
Stayed with 6 adults and 4 children and it was perfect. Space was just right, laundry and kitchen were great, had all the "stuff" we needed for a comfortable stay. Yes, the decor is from the late 70s, but the place is clean and everything works well with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy each others' company. Easy access within a few minutes to all the services in the town of West Yellowstone and the West entrance to the park. We found it easy to get to pretty much anywhere we wanted in the park and the road to/from the west entrance was often a source of wildlife sightings. Owner was very responsive and answered all questions promptly and thoroughly. Wifi was great in the main area of the house, but a bit iffy in the bedrooms (which is not a problem, I think). I would definitely stay again in similar circumstances! Local places we liked: Geyser Grill, TroutHunter Grill, Diamond P Ranch (trail ride thru the national forest)

Great place to stay for a large family group
We had a very enjoyable stay at this property, which was conveniently located very near YNP, West Yellowstone, the Snake River area, and groceries. Our group of 12, a mix of adults and kids, spread out comfortably--there are plenty of comfy beds. The back bedroom is very quiet, allowing little ones to go to bed early in a peaceful space (we brought our own pack and play). We were just fine with the location. The highway was close, but not noisy, and the kids had fun playing in the yard far away from the traffic. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could ever want, including very nice pots and pans, a great cooktop, a beautiful retro oven, dishwasher, 3 crock pots, and 3 Foreman grills ;-) The washer and TWO dryers were "clutch." The garage was convenient to keep our bikes on days we did not take them with us. Note that riding near the house is for gravel bikes, not road bikes, but the Park is a great place to ride road tires. Bring bear spray always. We would happily stay here again!

Spacious and in close proximity to the park. Didn't receive check-in instructions, luckily the owner answered his phone and gave us the key code verbally, the day we checked in. We removed all the used linens to the laundry room and helped the cleaning team by washing some towels the night before departure (it's what we do when we're in Hawaii VRBOs, as a way to be nice and help). Only to be charged extra $100 by the cleaning lady and owner. That'd make anyone staying there question whether the sheets or anything else is actually cleaned properly. Tried contacting the owner via phone and email and through VRBO, no answer. We would love to recommend this place but the service and the cleanliness is not worth another try.

Outdated kitchen, congested shower
The appliances are from the 70’s , the oven rusty. We decided against using the oven seeing its condition. The kitchen is poorly stocked, there were no good utensils to use. The shower is really congested you can hardly get in there and move and the shower head is so low that you need to be careful not to bump your head. The owner was prompt in answering calls prior to the booking but when we called him later with some issues he seemed unreasonable and hung up the phone on us!! Would not recommend.

Not great at all.
Not the best location. Carpet was dirty , seen a few ants wondering on it, garbage container too close to cabin, terrible smells , full of garbage when we arrived , in the dumpster ,patio wasn’t all that clean, open the curtains and neighbors are right there. After trying to communicate with the owner about the WIFI problems, never helped us , actually he stopped helping us , that was his problem when we had 5 other people trying to connect. I wouldn’t recommend this cabin to anyone. Yes , we were late getting out, no mercy, but they had plenty of time for the next residents to have it cleaned and charged us a bundle. Oh well, live and learn . My opinion.

good and very bad
The whole story: I have a big family with 9 kids and since VRBO makes you list all their ages i find it cumbersome and often don't list all or sometimes any of them. That said we find rentals that fit us and we meet occupancy. For this rental for some reason i had only listed 2 adults and 4 kids. i didn't think anything of it since the occupancy of this property is listed at 12. so yeah, i was technically in the wrong. On our 2nd day the host contacted me and asked how many people we had cause he counted 9 or 10. yep, he was watching us on his camera (that is unlisted on his property details as is required by VRBO). I honestly answered his question and he said we were in violation of our rental agreement and that he had extra fees for more than 6 guests. this information was no where to be found on his page, so it's not like i was trying to avoid extra costs. the host sent us an extra payment request and he said if we didn't pay he would have us escorted off the property. so yeah, CREEPY owner violating VRBO policy by watching guests on his camera and then threatening them. I should also add that i had to fix the wifi and even let him know about, though he claimed it was working. there was also a dead mouse in the garage, no napkins and only a partial roll of paper towels provided. very meager provisions. BUT, the cabin was spacious though outdated, and had good character if you like that. very similar experience to 7/1/23 review, wish i had seen that earlier.

Convenient Access to Tow
This is a tough one. Some aspects of this house were great. The family room, dining room kitchen combo was huge with plenty of seating for all. The bedrooms worked out for the five us. Beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom I used was large but the shower reminded me of a cruise ship shower. Very low ceiling (i'm 6'5") and difficult to move around in. Gotta wonder for a large house why such a tiny shower. As far a cleanliness, I gave this a house a 3. The interior was a 5 but the outside a 1. The yard was a mess, there's a dumpster practically in the driveway, the back porch furniture was dirty. The patio was not clean. There is a steel drum on the patio for fires, but there was little interest from the group in this because everything was such a mess. We never used the firepit where-as our previous rental it was the focal point of every evening. The house is also located right next to highway 20. Noisy at times. Not that cabin in the woods feeling we were hoping for. Overall a 3 for us.

Had a worst experience ever. First and foremost, the owner of the property seemed to have a disturbing obsession with monitoring our every move. It felt as though we were constantly being watched, with the owner keeping a close eye on our comings and goings. This invasive behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel unwelcome throughout our stay. To make matters worse, our initial booking was made two years in advance for the year 2022. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to reschedule our trip to 2023 as a result of a flood situation in Yellowstone. During this rescheduling period, one of our friends who was accompanying us had a newborn baby. As he watched, he charged for the infant as extra person, we paid for it. As if that wasn't enough, upon our arrival, the owner claimed that we had caused $400 worth of damage to the property. This accusation was completely baseless and we vehemently deny any responsibility for such damages. We took great care to follow all the instructions provided, including disposing of trash, cleaning the dishes, and placing all towels and laundry sheets in the designated laundry room. It was appalling to be falsely accused of burning the stove and using nine beds when we were only a group of seven people. Is it common practice for an owner to charge guests for utilizing all the beds in a rental property, regardless of the number of occupants? This requirement was nowhere mentioned in the rental agreement.

Excellent vacation house!
The property was wonderful. We were close to the National Park and town, but had a rustic country feel. We enjoyed the firepit and spacoiosness of the house. Kitchen was so well stocked! Could not have been better.

Good place and very close to NP
Very spacious cabin. very clean and a quite area. We had a very comfortable stay. Cabin is very close to the park and anywhere else we needed to be. Our main issue was the wifi which was very spoty, almost unusable (which reading from the reviews is how it is in the town)
