Lovely Time at the Cod House!
This was my first trip to the Cape and we had a blast! The Cod House has a great location and plenty of room for our party of six (and one dog!). The outside of the house has the classic Cape Cod look but the interior is modern and well taken care of. We had so much fun and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!!

Cozy Cottage
Wonderful location on a quiet street walking distance to beautiful Lewis Bay, (1/4 mile). Home was very clean, fully equipped kitchen and a Weber outdoor grill. Our host Kara was readily available for questions or concerns. Looking forward to renting this quaint lovely cottage again!!

A great location on the Cape
Overall, our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay at “The Cod House.” All of the living spaces, indoor and out, were very comfortable. Location was very quiet, with a lovely, uncrowned beach a short walk down the road. The kitchen functionality could be greatly improved by adding a couple saucepans, serving bowls, and a complete set of dishes and glassware.

Quiet, down the street from local beach!
Highlights: location close to quiet beach, nice walk into Hyannis, quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, updated bathroom, outdoor shower, roomy back porch. The house is definitely "old New England charm" and could use a little bit of a face lift. BUT, you have all you need, and we grew quite fond of it!

Perfect Cape Cod Getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cod House. It was perfect for our family - our 4 year old loved the bunk bed room, the fenced backyard, and riding his bike on the quiet streets. Baxter Beach is a very quick and pleasant walk, and although we did not have beach weather during our stay, we still enjoyed walking on the beach. It was a great place to fly a kite and find numerous shells and other treasures. The first day we were there, the beach was covered with conchs - cool! Everything we needed was right nearby (groceries, restaurants, coffee - Old King’s Coffeehouse also had great breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and lunch). And we checked out one of the two nearby mini golf courses too. A great combination of an off-the-beaten-path feel with amenities at your fingertips. The house was comfortable and clean. We would definitely come back!

We requested an early check in 3 days before arrival from the guest contact and then followed up with voicemail and texts as well as reaching out to evolve. We finally heard back the day AFTER we checked in.. the house is badly in need of a coat of paint everywhere with paint chips in every room. The kitchen smelt musty and the majority of the crockery is plastic which didn’t even feel clean. The shops are at least a 20 mins walk away so if you plan on getting groceries you’ll need a car. The bathroom is smaller than the pictures suggest so bear this in mind when booking for multiple people…

Neighborhood is very quiet.There are comfortable beds and patio furniture,and anything else you need.the walk to the beach isn’t bad and it’s a hidden gem,not crowded,but wear your water shoes!In general this house is a perfect location,ideal for a family looking to mini golf go karts water park,tons of good restaurants and downtown Hyannis 10minutes away

This property was perfect for us. We spent so much time relaxing/grilling on the big deck and out in the fenced in yard with our dog. The house is in walking distance to the beach which was an added bonus. We had a great time and would definitely come back!
