"This property is wonderful for a quiet getaway, it’s beautifully decorated with lots of interesting things to discover and the kitchen is so well equipped, we could have easily hosted a 12 person dinner party! You definitely need a vehicle and there is no shop or pub in the village. We really liked the lack of a TV it was a plus. "We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!"

"On top of a large hill, I think the cottage was originally for the staff who worked the farm that lies a little farther down the hill. The cottage is beautifully restored, comfortable, and has stunning views. Hexham is a wonderful town just a short drive away. We had no vehicle and used local taxis, which were easy to get. A convenient bus in Hexham took us to Roman forts and Hadrian’s wall. The hosts were very helpful."

"Great place to stay. In a great location for walking holiday and visiting local attractions. Place was kept in excellent condition. Lovely views of the hills and to watch the sun go down on a night. Nice bottle of wine left by the hosts for your arrival. Left to you own devices by the owners unless you had a problem. Would definitely stay again. "

"The location of the property was good, although we found the low ceiling height in places a problem and the sofa was too soft for our ageing bones. We were disappointed that the owner didn't refer to the planned building work in their hair salon downstairs. This caused disruption across two days of our break. "
